Re: Backbreaker PC Editor 1.3 (6/13 Update)
Is anybody else experiencing this same issue?
When I load the bills from my created roster to the bills from the 32 teams online version, it still uses the Bengals when I play an exhibition game. It must be a slot save issue. On my roster the bills are the first slot, but the downloaded roster the bengals are the first slot. So I think when I load the bills, it uses the first slot (bengals) instead.
There has to be a "slot" conflict issue... my best guess without looking at the code.
Javo
I've tried all sorts of loopholes to circumvent the issue, but to no avail: I've copied the team into a new custom slot, defaulted all their attributes to standard, renamed them, resigning/rehashing a billion times, starting from scratch, but nothing works. The game is ignoring my request to play as my imported custom team and instead defaults to the Bengals.
I believe the import feature is broken. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Before saying I did something wrong - try it yourself. Use the "import" BB Editor feature and try literally entering a game as that team. It will not work.Last edited by ReMeDy; 06-29-2010, 08:42 PM.Comment

Re: Backbreaker PC Editor 1.3 (6/13 Update)
Alright, I figured out the issue and solved it. I've sent a PM to Flynn about this. I'm not a programmer, but here's my theory what's going on:
When you create a custom team inside BB on a save file, it's assigned a "slot" attribute, or in most cases, slot 1. This "slot 1" attribute is glued to that custom team, much like the logos, graphics, etc. When you try to overwrite another team that is not on slot 1, the custom imported team still maintains the slot 1 attribute, so it's referencing slot 1 when we pick it. The result? It does what it's told!... It references slot 1, the Cincinnati Bengals.
The solution?: You MUST overwrite the Cincinnati Bengals, assuming the custom team was made in slot 1. Basically, the import option only works if you're replacing the team your custom team was made on, so if you made your custom team on slot 2, you must overwrite slot 2, and so forth.Last edited by ReMeDy; 06-29-2010, 10:47 PM.Comment

List what you're doing step-by-step. Then, we can help you. Otherwise, we won't know where you're messing up and would just be guessing the whole time.Comment

I actually signed on to post this EXACT same issue. I tried importing some of my team logos into BBGS's roster file in the Flynn editor, because I liked some of my own logos better (no offense to them at all), and at the loading screen of BB, my 'Box just freezes up. Tried countless times to fix the issue, but to no avail. I'm assuming this may be a bug of some kindComment
