I just tried the trick that I suggested earlier and put 12 teams in my teams and edited them with the editor and then went back to the game and tried to copy the to later slots but when I copied the team it reset all the OL ratings. Back to the drawing board.

One other thing to note... If you can go into Tools | Options you can enable large attribute values. This will allow any rating to go up to 255 rather then 99. Not sure if there is any affect for anything over 99 but the game recognizes it in the edit player screen. I figure you game-play lab guys could play around with it.Last edited by baden; 06-09-2010, 11:42 PM.Comment

re: Backbreaker PC Editor 1.3 (6/13 Update)
Oh wow. I just played my first half with the edits Bill suggested. That was one of if not the most fun I have ever had not only with a football game but probably with a video game.
My setup:
Custom Pro (Everything including kicking turned off)
Hard
Average form
Me (Firebirds - DL set to 10, LB set to 65, CB & S set to 60) these are all 4 attributes to the same value)
CPU (Atoms - OL set to 99) again all attributes
Like I said, if they just patch the obvious rules errors, I think it will be possible to mod the rosters to the point that the game will play really, really well. Any A.I. improvements they get in for the patch will just be a bonus.
Now if Finn could only include camera height in the editor--LOL.Comment

The only thing i didn't like about these edits is that speed in the secondary seemed too slow. That's why I tried just editing the d-line and leaving the CPU offense alone, but the effect won't be nearly as dramatic as it will be this way.

re: Backbreaker PC Editor 1.3 (6/13 Update)
I played Jets vs. Colts on medium/average (arcade) and Manning lit me up for 3 TDs in the first half.
No INTs from him but I did sack him 2 times.
As the Jets, I threw 5 ints with Sanchez so I know that 75 focus is too low for QBs (though I suck at passing right now).
I did get one PI call against the Colt defense!
The run game was so-so.
Cots averaged 2.9 ypc, Jets 2.3
so I am going to lower LBs some more.
I raised all OL 10% across the board, lowered DL 85%, LB 25% and DB 30%.
I am going to move LBs to 30% down today and see if that gives me what I want.
One big problem is Tomlinson and Saturday are on special teams making tackles. Can we edit special teams depth charts? I cant open the game right now.

re: Backbreaker PC Editor 1.3 (6/13 Update)
Updated first post with new version (1.1).
Added:
- Ability to edit all 32 Teams
- Implemented Drag/Drop to open game saves
- Changed min attribute rating from 0 to 1 (0 seems to cause the game freeze when loading the roster).
As always, let me know if you encounter any problems since reverse engineering a save is not an exact science.Comment

I may have to buy another copy of the game (for xbox360) to check out your editor. Does that Brit company have your PayPal email?Comment

re: Backbreaker PC Editor 1.3 (6/13 Update)
Finn - I believe a new bug has been introduced. After editing a few player's ratings (with no null values), saving a file, then reopening it in the editor and attempting to switch the active team being viewed a few times, I receive the following error (it appears that the editor is only reading 12 teams after saving the file itself):
Edit: After experimenting a few times, the editor will display 12 of the teams available and then give this error every time.Comment
