    Roster Breakdown for all teams:

    DB-8, DL-4, K-1, LB-4, OL-7, P-1, QB-3, RB-4, SB-3*, WR-8

    *Slotback

    Note there is no breakdown of defensive linemen, defensive backs or offensive lineman.

    Must not be any injuries in the game.

        I have been messing around with one team so far and think I am getting the hang of editing it. Hopefully it keeps going smoothly.

          Just had a 10 play drive end in a Field Goal with team I edited on first drive. 5 runs 5 passes.

          2nd drive went 6 plays and punted 4 passes 2 runs.

          3rd drive 9 plays 5 pass 4 runs and a touchdown.

          4th drive 11 plays 7 pass 4 run and ends in a Beautiful slate to pass in the end zone.

          I am watching CPU vs CPU so I can eliminate USER bias. I am seeing some nice cuts & moves by Quarterbacks, Runningbacks and Receivers with the ball.


          Edit: Keep in mind I didn't edit the other team. So their defense is default ratings.

            Are there any options plays in it? Triple Option? Speed Option? Midline Iso? Power Option?

                    After my first game on normal difficulty without ever having touch practice mode, during the 4th quarter, I think I stumbled onto an overpowered slant route. So I decided to start a new game and up the difficulty to full maximum (hard) and test that same exact route over and over again.

                    Yes, I threw a few interceptions, but overall, it still felt overpowered. Meaning, I'll have to enforce house rules on myself. No more running that play. I do watch football, but I don't know much about the X's and O's, so I'm not sure what would be realistically appropriate to stop slant routes.

                    Overall for the time being and brief exposure, I'm still glad I bought it for $16.99

                          Ok, I bought the game a little while ago on PS4.

                          First impression: I like the game overall. It is not the "prettiest" game I have ever played, but I can overlook graphics to a certain standpoint.

                          The gameplay takes some getting used to mainly because of the controls. If you have played Madden for years like I have, you will find yourself pushing the wrong buttons quite a lot.

                          The animations are pretty good overall, some clipping here and there and the occasional issue with detecting contact. I have also noticed that if you are controlling the QB and he is facing left, but you throw to a WR on the right, the QB motion goes to the left but the ball travels to the WR, it certainly looks a bit off.

                          Customization:
                          I really like that I can edit a lot about the teams and players, I love customization, the more the better. However, it is currently a little funky to work through. Again, it is largely a control issue. I want the bumpers to go forward and backward, but instead they change completely different things. Not a big deal just takes some getting used to.

                          When editing a team I can select a stadium, but I have no idea what each stadium looks like. Is there a "preview" button I am missing?
                          I also had the game crash once in the editing screen when I changed from team data to the next tab. It did not happen when I went back in game, though the changes I had made were lost.

                          Overall the game is what I expected and it has a lot of potential. I will spend some time on customization over the next few days and I will try to report back what I see.

                          One other game play note, it is too easier to return a kickoff for a TD for both user and cpu. I played on normal difficulty and I returned for a TD and the CPU had two; all in the same game.

                            I'm still jaded from my original Maximum Football experience back in 2005. Bought the game day one and only played it for about an hour because it was a mess. I was so disappointed because I missed FPS play editing so much.

                            Anyway, I decided to give this a spin to support a small dev despite my feeling burned in the past. No practice, I immediately loaded up Hard difficulty 3 min quarters taking Montreal vs Hamilton. I lost on the last play of the game on some crazy play where my player seemed to get locked and just ran straight backward at some crazy angle. I saw this happen again in another game. Then circle was responsive to change players and they broke a short pass for a long TD. We lost by 1.

                            So, I loaded a season on hard and 1st week was the same match up, except at Hamilton. I set the game to 5 minute quarters. We were down 10 early but ran a punt back for a TD. Then we ran the 2nd half kickoff deep to get a FG. I took a 7 point lead late and got a late pick. I accept the penalty but they said I declined it. They score late and go for 2 and I lose by one point again.

                            Anyway, I saw several bugs in 2 games:

                            - CPU punter is punting from their own end zone. They decide to take a knee. I think, maybe there is some weird CFL rule but then notice I was awarded 2 points. lol

                            - Computer picked me off and we are called for holding. Computer took the penalty and we keep the ball.

                            - Very next play it is 1st and 20. Great, we throw an incomplete pass. Now it is 1st and 10 instead of 2nd and 20. Awesome.

                            - End of half, the game clock is at :00 for like 5 seconds but the computer is able to run another play. (Unless this is a CFL rule?)

                            - Less than 2 minutes in game, we go out of bound. Play clock started running again. (unless a CFL rule?)

                            Notes so far:

                            - On hard, inside running is way easier than outside. They seem to take a false step outside and get sucked up.

                            - On hard, no one really seemed open ever. Someone mentioned over powered slants, I may have noticed that too in my first game I hit 2 slants to the house.

                            - No one really seemed open on hard. No reads, I'm going to try normal next game.

                            - I was very annoyed at the slow pace of play, guys pulling up socks after the play. You can press circle on PS4 to get back to the play menu. Very helpful, seems like an odd button though.

                            - Triangle for instant replay after the play. Nice touch.

                            - I think US rosters have all the same player ratings.

                            - No coach mode that I can seen. Not sure about CPU vs CPU. A bit disappointed I could see this being a coach mode game for me.

                            - Funny thing is, the game is better than I expected from my past Maximum Football experience. Hard wasn't the most fun even though I was competitive in the games. I'm going to give normal a run and see if I get more comfortable with the controls.

                            - Button configuration for menus seems very odd to me. I feel like, at least on Playstation, there are typical protocols that are natural for menus and ui. This game doesn't follow any of those best practices like x for select, circle for back, etc.

                            - Really sad logo editor won over play makers. If the game has play editor when it drops on computers I might double dip just to play a game with an editor assuming game improvements and hopefully a coach mode.

                            Hopefully they keep building and improving on this version and going forward. I had nearly 0 expectations for the game but want to support other football games so I basically viewed this as a 17 dollar donation. I'll probably give it a few games or maybe a season and check back with updates but I don't expect to get much from this game at this point. Best of luck to David in the future.

                              I need to make an amendment to my initial feedback with regards to kick returners not running upfield. I think I jump the gun too quickly. It had more to do with my kick placement. If I kick it towards the corner/sidelines, the return will run upfield, but will eventually run out of bounds as the defense gets close.

                                EDIT: Please extend the replay length. As it currently stands, if I wanted to create a video collection of big hits, it only shows probably about two thirds of the impact. It stops shortof the important moment immediately after impact.



                                Two request for the immediate foreseeable future. A few request that I would like to see down the line.

                                Current request:

                                Scoring graphic visual summary request:
                                Consider giving the scoring drive arrows a real time animation effect similar to what 2k did years ago. If it's an 80 yard drive with multiple plays (i.e. 4 plays). Animate the directional arrow one by one, one after the other. Connect each animated arrow back to back. It'll be a more satisfying visual experience.

                                Replay mode additional feature request:

                                Please consider allowing replay for all plays. Currently as it stands, kickoffs, kickoff returns, and touchdowns, and various other plays do not have the option for replay mode. The CPU had a nice blindside sack but there was no replay mode. I wanted to go back and capture it on film but replay mode was not available.

                                Secondly, in addition to continually pressing the R1 button to play through a replay, also consider having a standard playback button at normal regular speed. As it currently stands, pressing R1 is in relative "slow motion" speed and is simply jerky. Keep the R1 button function, but add an additional playback button. Might as well add a slow motion playback button (with selectable various speeds) as well.

                                Third, consider giving the user the option to remove the player indicator during replay mode to give the whole experience an aesthetically clean look.

                                This was a catch that was knock loose, ruled an incomplete pass. The receiver actually did catch it but was knocked loose. So that was pretty cool.

                                Instant replay request:
                                Consider adding some sort of automatic instant replay effect after each play, from a broadcast perspective including one or two other angles.

                                Halftime request:
                                Not a full blown halftime show, but consider keeping all scoring drives in the retrievable "memory bank" and string them all together during halftime in broadcast view while showing changes to the score board.
