Originally posted by SPTOI hate to break it to you but Buck is still the #1 announcer. The pregame guys will be travelling with him every week and they'll do the pregame show at the site of the national game.Comment

Joe Butt & McCarver are such a tail ends, it ruined me as a baseball fan having to listen to their pompous, arrogant hindsight during broadcasts. I haven't watched a World Series w/out the mute button in years. I think it was Yanks/Mets.
Then I had to listen to that jerko act like Randy Moss killed a baby @ the 50-yd line when he faked a moon. I swear that demon spawn can turn his neck a complete 360. All he's there for is to criticize & second guess.

Re: Joe Buck = Fox NFL Sunday Host
I can bear him only when watching my own teams games. If I turn on a baseball/football game that my team is not involved in and buck is commentating for, I either flip the channel or turn the sound off. Something about him just irritates me.Comment

Re: Joe Buck = Fox NFL Sunday Host
Buck can get a bit arrogant but he's good and I will still like the Fox show the best. They talk football and entertain. Jillian Barberie's schtick got old pretty fast. She didn't even seem that hot at the end so good riddance. Are they still going to do the weather babe thing?
As for Gumbel, he didn't want to go back to the studio when Nantz replaced him and is doing play by play as the #2 guy for CBS. JB will be a good host for them and I think the only reason he left is that he wanted to go back to the east coast to spend more time with his family.
Fox Announcing Crew
This is a real pathetic bunch. Moose was decent in the 3 man booth but he's boring and doesn't offer much as a #2 man. Only the #1 team is good and I wouldn't say they are great either.- Joe Buck/Troy Aikman (both since 2002)/Pam Oliver (sideline reporter/hostess)
- Dick Stockton (since 1994)/Daryl Johnston (since 2001)/Tony Siragusa (sideline reporter)
- Kenny Albert/Brian Baldinger/Chris Myers (sideline reporter)
- Sam Rosen/Tim Ryan
- Ron Pitts/Terry Donahue
- Matt Vasgersian/J.C. Pearson/Jay Glazer (sideline reporter)
- Scott Graham/Bill Maas
I like the #1, #2, #5 and #8 teams. Don't know why Tasker and Wilcots are so far down this list. Dierdorf is one of the most underrated guys imo. I hate Randy Cross.
- Jim Nantz / Phil Simms /Steve Tasker (sideline reporter for Super Bowl XLI) and Solomon Wilcots (sideline reporter for Super Bowl XLI) (producer Lance Barrow, director Michael Arnold)
- Greg Gumbel / Dan Dierdorf
- Dick Enberg / Randy Cross
- Kevin Harlan / Rich Gannon
- Gus Johnson / Steve Tasker
- Don Criqui / Steve Beuerlein
- Bill Macatee / Rich Baldinger
- Ian Eagle / Solomon Wilcots

Re: Joe Buck = Fox NFL Sunday Host
Fox's lineup of teams stinks 24/7. I don't know anyone in their staple I enjoy hearing. CBS's is much better. I wish more Panther games were on CBS. Most of the time, we get Mass & Ryan. They add about as much to the game as a parking attendant.Originally posted by VP Richard M. Re: Joe Buck = Fox NFL Sunday Host
Don Criqui is the most underrated PBP man in the business. This guy has been in the trenches for over 30 years and no matter who he's paired up with he always ends up doing a good job. The highest he's ever been was the #2 man for NBC for a couple years.
Rudy you don't like Dick Stockton? I think he's one of the more underrated guys. I just love his voice and the way he calls a game.
I can't stand Ian Eagle. (who pronounces it I-an in real life?!) The guy sounds so manufactured and fake. It's a shame that a solid guy like Solly Wilcots has to be paired up with him every sunday.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
