No he wasn't, when this thread was made he had 3 or 4 good years with the Rams, did horrible with the Giants, and lost his job with the Cardinals even before Leinart was drafted. Even the one guy who claims that he believed he was a hall of famer all along began the thread talking about how he was on the fence about it.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

        "MVP! MVP! MVP!"

In my opinion, Warner is as valuable as any one player in the NFL to his team. Put Leinhart in there, Arizona are under .500.

He's probably the best postseason QB of all time. I can't think of many QBs in NFL history that have won games where their defense allowed 45 points. Warner just gets better in the most important games. That, along with his absurd efficiency stats in the regular season, should make him a lock for the Hall of Fame. He probably won't get in first ballot, but he's honestly making a case for being one of the ten best QBs ever.

He didn't do horrible with the Giants. His stats weren't bad at all and he had a winning record, plus the Giants were still in the playoff hunt. It got horrible when they benched him for Eli, because the Giants completely tanked the season at that point. They went 1-6 without Warner.

Yeah he lost his job, but it happens. Bradshaw got benched a few times, a few great QB's have. But it's how you bounce back that makes the difference. All this guy does is take organizations that were dead, become the starter and suddenly the organization becomes contenders. Let's face it, if Kurt Warner never shows up, the Cardinals are a 4-12/5-11 ball club over the past few years. Their QB situation was mostly the problem. With Warner they're Super Bowl contenders. Before Warner, how many times were the Cardinals Super Bowl contenders in the 00's? Not once.

I picked the Cowboys for the NFC, but the Cardinals are a very dangerous team and Kurt Warner is at the top of his game... that's bad news for opposing defenses.

If you want to talk about a vastly overrated QB who is in the HOF just look at Joe Namath's stats sometime. He got in because of one game. Warner is twice the QB that Broadway Joe ever was.

Warner gets in easily and these past two seasons have cemented it. He's not only one of the best QBs of his era he's one of the greatest playoff performers ever.
