Re: Favre to the Vikings?
Favre is not overrated and is unquestionably one of the greatest quarterbacks of his generation. He has a Super Bowl ring (which is as many as Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner have won, and as many as Steve Young won as a starter), three consecutive MVP awards (no one else has come close to matching that), and pretty much every career passing record there is (which is a testament to his durability as much as his playing skill).
I'd argue that, out of his contemporaries that he played against, only Elway was better.Comment

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
yep instead he cost his team playoffs with boneheaded throws and a choke in the super bowl in 97 when his man was wide open and he under threw him...
Im a big farve *****, but I am all for him going to the vikings from an objective view like I said in my blog
Vikings have 0% chance of winning a Super Bowl with TJack
Vikings have atleast a chance to win a Super Bowl with Brett FarveComment

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
I'm paraphrasing
From Sal Paolantonio's The Palantonio report:
Fave has won as many post season games over the past decade as Michael Vick. Keep in mind Vick was just suspended for a whole season, and missed most of another.
Since 2001 Vick has won 58% of his games (41-30). Same period, Favre has won 57%(58-44).
Vick has thrown a pick every 33 attempts. Favre, since 01, has thrown a pick every 27 attempts.
Favre has thrown 4 or picks twice in the playoffs, including one against the 2001 Rams who had not intercepted more than 2 all year.
Vick has thrown 3 in 4 playoff games.
Not saying Vick is as good as Favre, but someone has been labeled that can't read offenses and doesn't know what he's doing, sure has comparable if not comparable numbers in their same time in the league with the sure HOFer
I thought Favre was overrated before reading this, but I have to say this makes me think it even more.
That makes a good point though. Favre WAS great. He's been off his game for a while now, despite his big year two seasons ago. This illustrates it perfectly. Of course, his stats and records previous of what you listed is a lot better, but since 2001ish, he has not been the same.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
lol, at least you're consistent. It's a "competition" for Sage to lose. They didn't spend a ton of money to bring in another young QB for him to just be the backup. If he shows in training camp what they expected from him when they signed him, TJ will be on the bench. And one of the articles in this very thread said that at this very moment, Sage is the expected starter so it's not just any hate against TJ here.Comment
