Re: Favre to the Vikings?
I'm of the opinion that there was never anything wrong with his biceps. When the story first broke it was "sources within Favre's camp" disclosing the injury. To this day the Jets have never acknowledged that he ever had an MRI. I've also not seen the name of a single physician or medical facility in any piece regarding his alleged injury. Usually when a player is hurt his injury doesn't come to light via "unnamed sources"....especially after the season is over and there's nothing to hide from upcoming opponents. I think Favre, and his circle of media sycophants like Ed Werder and Peter King, cooked up this story to help Favre to avoid public accountability for his poor play. The rest of his followers like Trey Wingo just took the story and ran with it. It's all an elaborate excuse. Just you watch, when Favre is finally ready to bite the bullet come out as a Viking his "torn biceps" will miraculously no longer be an issue.
Just watch his presser when he finally started talking about it. He looks like a 9 year old faking an illness to get out of school.Last edited by metallicatz; 05-08-2009, 11:33 PM.Comment

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
Nope. Not so much. Howard kicked *** that day for sure, but the defense shut the Pats down after giving up a TD from Martin at the beginning of the 3rd. Did you forget the bombs to Rison and Freeman??? Favre's TD run?The two point conversion pass to Chmura giving the Packers a 35–21 lead? Favre completed 14 out of 27 passes for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns, and had 12 rushing yards and another touchdown on 4 carries. Favre became the first Super Bowl winning quarterback to have at least three touchdowns (Favre had 2 throwing, 1 rushing) and not be named Super Bowl MVP.
That being said I can't stand what he has become in the last few years. I hope he stays retired. Maybe then I'll watch his induction to the HOF.Last edited by Jackdog; 05-09-2009, 07:26 AM.NFL:Packers

If Favre doesn't need to get major surgery, he will sign with the Vikings and get around a 2 year, $14 million contract with MAJOR incentives (Sources).NCAA Basketball: Minnesota Golden Gophers

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
I can't wait for Favre to absolutely tear apart the Packers. The Packers suck, period, and I don't know why anyone would think Favre would not be able to be successful against them. He has AD to hand the ball off to, a deep threat in Berrian, and Harvin who does everything. Favre would not have to carry the Vikings, but rather just make the throws. We went 10-6 with terrible quarterbacks last year (and no, this isn't Tarvaris' year to break out like what people say every year with him). Tavaris is a career backup, and Favre is our missing piece to a super bowl birth.NCAA Basketball: Minnesota Golden Gophers

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
Viking Fans have been screaming this "(insert player) is our missing piece" since they choked away that NFC Title game in 98 so every year they say the same exact thing. This year it's Favre, next year it's Bill Cowher, the next year it Lance Armstrong.#RespectTheCultureComment
