I don't see why people are up in arms, if somebody wants to pay him for his services, what's the big deal

People aren't up in arms about him wanting to play. They're up in arms over the way he goes about it.

It's still his life and his perrogative. Obviously his perspective employers don't mind. The big deal to me is the TMZ styled reporting that espn does now.

Who said his perspective employers don't mind? They want him in camp and as early as possible. I'm sure they want to know who they're building an offense for as soon as possible. Of course they aren't going to create a scene (bigger than the one he's creating on his own) bc that would be a huge distraction to the team, especially if he ends up not signing with them. So, basically, they aren't saying anything at all.

The Packers certainly minded and we saw how that all played out. The Jets threw him in there and they finished out of the hunt with resentful players, a fired coach, and a need to find a replacement immediately (hopefully the move to get Sanchez will stop the bleeding but there is bleeding right now).

ESPN is the Favre/Notre Dame network, which is why I don't watch it unless there's a game that I want to see on.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Oh and those many players who have retired and comeback didn't have the statline or the name recognition of a Brett Farve. Of course they're gonna make a big deal out of it, the guy is considered by many to be the greatest quarterback of this era. Are they going overboard with the coverage. Of course they are. But he's a big name and they're gonna cover the big names.

Look at it this way,do you think ESPN would care about the antics of Terrell Owens if he was some no name fuzz bucket? Of course they wouldn't. The cover it because he's on of the biggest names in sports.
Agreed. I just want him to hurry up and get this surgery or whatever he is going to do. Sign with the vikings and end all this speculation.

I kind of think that it is sort of dumb.

I am sick of hearing about.

Re: Does Anyone Else Kind of Think the Brett Favre Saga is Sort of Cool?

1 Rocky was a movie. 2 Favre is a real life athlete. Farve is pushing 40. He has done everything on the field. From been a 3 time MVP, Going to 2 superbowls and winning superbowl 31 and been MVPaswell in that Superbowl. He is soon to be a HOF if he would stay retired and enjoy life with his wife and kids. But pretty much this Favre saga is getting quit old. I just don't really believe his body will make it throught this whole season. His body has already warned him this past season by breaking down in the middle of the season. Favre just don't know when to leave the game. Yes he loves it. But there is a point to end it. It;s now.Favre stay ******. Favre would be hurting vikings more then helping this season. But plain and simple the favre saga is boring and old.
