    That's cool bro.

I can't imagine how many threads got locked up considering the factors that weighed into Vicks case but I'm sure it was "fun" times during the trial.

Back to Vick and the NFL, seems like most teams that are thinking about him are trying to shore up the back up position which makes perfect sense. It gives him time to get his timing and knowledge of a system back up to the pro level (if he can at all after the layoff)and is a lesser risk backing up the established QB.

And the media in those markets isn't the hounding/attack style he'd face in some of the bigger markets.

Hmph. Interestingly enough, one would think you'd be able to discuss the circumstances leading-up to Mr. Vick's arrest when discussing Mr. Vick. Alas, that's apparently not the case...

Anywho, I can't even imagine any team signing him right now. Not for any reason except that there's no reason to sign him. I'd love to see him play, but between the PR nightmare and the fact that most teams have someone in place to start at QB, I can't imagine where he'd go.

Granted, I'll create him in Madden (Assuming, of course, that I buy Madden.) and someone will probably eventually pick him up, but the chances are - in real life - that he'll be in the UFL exclusively this season.

I'm sure you got all of this out of your system two years ago, didn't you?
It was mentioned by a mod, in another thread to talk about Vick's case (when someone else brought it up in a Madden topic) in this thread specifically. And no, there was no reason to get it out of anyones system two years ago, considering he was locked up and not on the brink of returning to the NFL. That alone gives reasoning to anyone choosing to discuss his case in the thread dedicated to him.

Vick's career as a football player is threatened by his crime. If someone is going to ask questions like "Why isnt he signed yet" (which is the whole impetus as to why I responded to this thread in the first place), the crime clearly plays a huge role in why and it will continue to, which you even acknowledge in the quote above. If you don't want to discuss his crime, don't. The fact remains that the crime is the only reason he's in the position that he's in. The discussion was hardly getting out of hand. You chose to jump on me when the person I was responding to was trying to give Vick a physchological profile based on where he was from. I respect that from the angle that I don't think it had to do with race at all and which is what he was responding to (which someone else brought up).

I'd say that to just about any team thinking of signing him, but it would add another dimension to their offense (if he still has the same ability) espc in a division with Peterson/Harvin and Devin Hester.

True, I've heard it's mostly contingent on Brian Brohm continuing to struggle in training camp. If he struggles mightily they're gonna push hard for Vick to be the backup.

The latest I've heard is thst a "high ranking Packers Official" has visited Vick(don't know if it was to just talk to him in person or work him out)but that nothing is imminent as of right now as far as signing him.

I still think that teams will wait until after maybe their first or second preseason game before any Vick discussions start to intensify.

Don't forget the fullback that was arrested for "allegedly masturbating outside of a 59-year-old woman's home"

Not sure if he's still with them or not lol

I guess Ralphy boy is trying EVERYTHING to get to the Super Bowl again before he dies. Although Buffalo would be a near perfect place for him as he would be in a small market with a suburban atitude rather then some sprawling metropolis where he could easily get in trouble.

Well, he did sign T.O just to make Buffalo relevant again, sooooooo......I guess I can see why they would consider it, if what Peter King is saying is true.

He got in trouble for what he did in a rural area, not for whatever he could do in a city.
