Brett Farve and the NFL off-season, has reached the point of being like steroids in baseball. I don't care and nothing suprises me anymore. Good for him that he gets to play the sport he "loves". I hope that he can have the kind of season that will let him eventually RIP his football career.

How does Chris Mortensen get beat so badly on this story? He takes his RV to Minnesota, makes no mention of players knowing Favre will sign there, and then a couple days later Jay Glazer reports Favre to Minnesota almost a done deal.

For as much as ESPN services Favre, it was funny seeing them take it in the rear from Fox Sports on this story.

That's what you get for strapping on the knee pads, ESPN.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

"What? You can't challenge a scoring play?''

Bottom line: Favre ranks first all-time in every single major passing category, including yards, touchdown passes, and wins. He earned three consecutive MVP awards and led the Packers to a Super Bowl victory in 1996. He played through more injuries than almost any player in history.

And yet he is still overrated.

He flat-out choked in the playoffs in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2007. His '96 Packers were 1,000 times better than the New England Patriots, and it would have been considered an enormous disappointment had they lost the Super Bowl. The Pack was heavily favored against the Broncos in 1997 and did lose, costing Favre a second ring.

He forces way too many passes and has set interception records that may never be broken. The last 11 years of his career have not matched his first six seasons, and some of his full seasons have been flat-out disappointing for a quarterback in the NFL.

Favre is a fantastic quarterback, and probably the greatest in team history. But he is nowhere near number one and struggles to crack my list of the top 10 quarterbacks of all-time.

          .99 for you thoughts.

He is,individually, the greatest QB of all time. To say otherwise is pointless opinion.

Because Jay Glazer absolutely owns the NFL beat. All the dunderheads at E!SPiN are like a bunch if clumsy internists by comparison.

Kinda surprised that apparently Minnesota is giving up on Jackson now and will try to trade him or release him. They must really like JD Booty for the future or see something about Jackson that says he has no future at QB. I would have thought they'd have too much invested in TJ to get rid of him.

I was honestly expcecting them to stick JDB on the IR or something so they could keep all 4 guys, so they still have 3 left when Favre does this again next year.

Hopefully Jackson starts giving the rest of the NFL tips on the Vikings' playbook.

In honor of Favre, I think I'll start spelling phony w/an "f".

Jesus, man. I'm sick of the whole Favre thing too but I don't wish for him to get hurt really bad. He should be allowed to go out when he wants to. Still, I'm tired of the media coverage of him more than anything.

At this point he's merely an attention whore.

Attention whores deserve anything bad that happens to them.

He's definitely acting like one, I agree. Still, it's hard for me personally to wish for a guy to get hurt. If the guy is a complete **** and an attention whore? Well, maybe someone like that does have what's coming to him.
