      Did you have them?

Have you ever had the nachos from the AAC? They are $6 and all you get is chips and an individual package of room temperature cheese.

Maybe your not, but you just sound like one of those people who showed up an hour before kickoff and expected to have a huge space for themselves along the rail. Everyone got an email explaining exactly what the pass was and what it did and did not guarantee.

I've been LOLing all day at these people who got there 1-2 hours before the game started and expected to have some amazing view.

I was smart, ate a foot long subway while waiting in line and snuck a couple of waters in.

Pretty sure our D-line is better.

Both the Cowboys and the Giants are talented. The development of the Giants' young receivers could be the difference down the road. The development of Felix Jones will also be a huge factor.

Eli comes up huge in clutch moments, and Romo has...gone a different way a lot of the time. Both teams are good enough to be better than the other by the end of the season, depending on various circumstances. To say the Cowboys are flat out better is a special brand of homerism though. Nothing to support that.

I don't see how the Cowboys are better for anyone saying that. The Giants have a better QB, you could argue they even have better WR's since I am not impressed at all with Roy Williams, a better O-line, a better D-line, and a better secondary. The only thing I'd give the edge to Cowboys on is LB's, and RB's.

I didnt go to the game as already posted.I was pointing out the stupidity, audacity of JJ to charge people 29.99 to be "around" the Stadium.Ive only gone to a few Pre-season games and to be honest "Club Seats" are cool but the price is wayyyyy toooo Steep 1800 for two seats and 75 parking!!I've never had ACC nachos either but then again Mark Cuban cant or wont charge you to be outside the Arena either.BTW Email or not that is bad Pub for The Cowboys to do that to loyal fans and of the Giants and Cows...Flat out wrong!!!....I would be P.O.ed if I came all the way from Anytown USA and wasnt allowed into the stadium After paying the Jerry Jones Tariff..From what I hear though the cowboys are gonna reduce the "party-pass" to around 10,000.

Re: Week 2: Giants @ Cowboys on SNF

OK, it took me a few days to get my thoughts together after being at the stadium. I sat in section 438, eye level with thr jumbo board, which leads me to:

                1. The Stadium
was awesome. I have been on a tour of the stadium but being there for game one was really special for me as a life long boys fan. I bought actual seats instead of the party pass because common sense would tell you that that stadium opening for the first game ever would be crazy. I may party pass mid season or so, but not now. A+ on the stadium.

                2. The Game

Very entertaining. Sat near some Giant fans and with the sudden change and back and forth of the night we had some great noise talking all in good fun. So as a football lover, I really enojoyed the atmosphere. It was loud in there. I never remember being at Texas Stadium with that noise level, I can only imagine what it will be like with the roof closed.

                3. MY RANT AS A COWBOY FAN

Jason Garrett needs to be fired. It was obvious early in the game that Romo flat out didn't have it. Why continue to go 4 wide when your star player is off his game. It is your job as the coach to recognize and adjust to what is happening as opposed to sticking to your preconceived notions during the week. We were gashing them on the ground and series after series he was trying to get too cute. We were dominating on the ground, why try to depend on Romo when you are winning. One logical answer: EGO. He obviously thinks he is smarter than everyone else. Alot of guys in the section I was in were screaming at him to run the ball. The Giants were so tired by the middle of the 3rd qtr.

Tony Romo and Eli Manning are not elite QB's for different reasons.
Romo first: Great arm, but goe brain dead and tries to emulate Farve way too much. He was too high, too low, late, hesitant to run, just awful. It happens but that was horrendous, reminded me of the Qunicy Carter/Chad Hutchinson days. There is no TO to blame. Maybe on all of those throws to TO, it was Romo's fault and not TO running the wrong route, etc.

Manning- I thought Eli would be a more mobile version of his brother, but the Giants coaching staff is very intelligent in the way they utilize him. The game plan was very basic, like they dumbed the offense down for him. He only had to read one deep WR route per play which makes me sick to my stomach that he could throw for 330 yds which an elementary gameplan. If these two guys are considered greats, we are in trouble. There is such a chasm between Peyton/Brady and everybody else that it is scary. I know I stated earlier that both Romo and Eli are elite, but I need to pull that off the table. They are both good and equally capable of winnng or losing a game.

Defense - considering the postion that they were being put in time after time they played well, but the lack of pressure and Wade's decision to play 7-10 yds off of the WR's led to so many quick hitches and short patterns that really helped the Giants get into rhythm. The Giants ran such a vanilla offense, Wade should be embarassed at his lack of adjustments.

I could go more, but you get the idea.

Here is my short and sweet rant.

Where are all the people that wanted TO gone. I guess team chemistry is defined by not holding your qb accountable. We have all the team chemistry in the world now.

Roy Williams need to go because he such a lilability in the pass game. Now they can pass and run on our D. When teams realize they can run on us, we are going to see a couple of 200 yard games against us this year.

Greg Ellis is another cry baby. Yup take the only real team leader off your team because the need to play Spencer.

Well it only week 2...no, this is the same team that folded in December. If histroy is any indication this team best performance will be in the first 2 months and their decline in Nov and Dec.

                  Where are those fans now?

Now that you mention it... You've just ruined my day LOL. Giants might have the best O-Line and D-Line in football when healthy.

You're probably right position by position with the exception of WR's. I would have to see more, and Dallas's DB's could make any WR corp look great. I still give the edge to Dallas there.

Sounds like Jerrah's been convorting w/ the enemy...one Daniel Synder....and perhaps Stan Kasten?

I bet the Cowboys owner and the Redskins owner have dialogue once or twice a week where they laugh at the fans and discuss how they're raking their individual fan bases over the coals.

I haven't read through this thread but I'm sure at least one other person feels the same way. The Cowboys will NEVER have post season success with Romo behind center. And I know, this sounds kind of strange coming from someone who is a HUGE fan of Manning, who is pretty average in the playoffs, but in my honest and true opinion, Romo just can't win.

Am sorry but that has to be the worst scouting report on a player I have ever read. It reeked of (my qb chokes and people are bashing him so let me make up some dumb nonsense about Eli to not give him his due)

Eli manning does not have a dumb down play book for him. Eli might be one of the smartest qb's in the game when it comes down to setting up and running the offense. He is the whole offense and he is the one that checks off at the right times.

To say he is not anything special and just a decent qb who is used smart by the coaches by giving him little to do is beyond comical and just plain idiotic.

Eli is not Brady or Peyton but you think that anything below that is average and just helped by dumbed down play books.

Yea...it's sort of like another Dallas fan suggesting that Donovan McNabb would've had no more success against New Orleans (at home) than Kevin Kolb; making his first NFL start.

I think he can, but he just can't be expected to carry the offense, he's just not one of those guys. The Tony Romo you saw against the Giants is the Tony Romo you will get at least 2-3 times a year, the other times he is borderline brilliant, but that's the rub with him. Much like his idol, Favre, he has some bad games, but where Favre would force throws and lose games for the Packers, Romo simply just plays horribly.

What the Cowboys need to do is go back to Romo's strengths AND protect him from himself. Parcells & co created a package of protection, checkdowns, movement, playaction & running the ball because this is what helps Romo.
                              • The Parcells staff would leave in a TE and/or HB to protect Romo unlike now where Garrett feels there should only be the OL to block.
                              • Where Romo would have limited receivers to read (deep, middle, shallow) before he now has a more spread offense that wants him to feed the ball to Witten, Bennett, Jones, Choice, Barber, Austin, Crayton, and on. Give him less to read and more time to react and he plays much better because he's a great instinctual player (Favre) instead of an analytical player (P Manning).
                              • The Parcells regime used a lot of runs to open up the passing game, the playaction, and the bootlegs to the right where Romo would only need to read 2/3's of the field: deep middle, deep right or shallow; now he is having to stay in the pocket and read the entire field.

I bet the Cowboys owner and the Redskins owner have dialogue once or twice a week where they laugh at the fans and discuss how they're raking their individual fan bases over the coals.
