hmm, i don't know, i think he may be both. he's often forgotten about when we think of the top level of quarterbacks, but he's been doing it for quite some time at a very high level, usually with next to nothing at wide receiver.

i wouldn't say driver's underrated, he seems to be getting his just due, especially with the season he put up this year.

about the defensive tackles, i think the position as a whole isn't one that's truly appreciated, but i think within the world of the position, these are the upper echelon guys and they get their just due. i actually can't remember a steeler, charger or raven game where dierdorf or someone didn't spend a few minutes praising the defensive tackles on those teams.

I think Driver is like Reggie Wayne in that he's been so consistent that nobody talks about it anymore when he has a good year.

I agree. I think McNabb might be in that Frank Thomas, Patrick Ewing, Tom Glavine, Karl Malone level of athlete. Phenomenal players at their sport, but always looked down upon for what they can't do/didn't accomplish compared to their peers.

true statement. Eagles fans or Mcnabb haters don't realize how many bad seasons they missed out on having him. its hard to find a starting qb who is quality. only 8 teams have drafted a qb worth starting and building a team behind since mcnabb has been drafted.

throughout his career - Fred Taylor

WR - Matt Jones. the fact that no team wanted him after being Jags multi-season #1 receiver

I said Wes Welker but I think i'd like to bring up my homer pick as well, Tashard Choice for the Cowboys. Honestly a lot of Cowboys fans think this cat should start. He may not be as powerful as Marion Barber III or as fast as Felix but he offers the best of both packages in one back. Plus he is an excellent receiver too. He would be a starter on most NFL teams.

Good choice (pun absolutely intended). I don't know if he can be the workhorse back who gets the rock 300+ times a year, and I don't know if that would even be good for him, but as a guy getting 15-20 touches a game, I think he'd be really good. I agree that he may not be the super fast or super powerful back, but he's got a combination of all of the attributes you look for in a running back.

It's a shame he only got to run 64 times this year. Though with Jones and Barber ahead of him, I can't completely say it's the Cowboys fault. Really, the Cowboys should just run each of these guys 10+ times a game and call it a day. Seriously though, it would open up the passing game for Romo that much more.
