    5. Look for the Texans this year to be a team that is very similar to the Tampa bay bucs and Baltimore Ravens. The Texans will be very defensive orientated team with an offense that is focused on eating clock. With Eric brown as the kicker look for the Texans to win a lot of games with the scores of 16-10 or 21-16.

Comparing to the Ravens and Buccs is like comparing a Kia to BMW. The personel isn't nearly as good, and the Bucc's and Raven's offense is a lot better as well.

And one quick question... what are the significances of these scores "16-10 or 21-16"? Why not add 10-7, or 13-10. Seriously, I'm pretty sure your not going to be able to predict the scores of the games man.

As for the bet with the 49ers fans. What happens if/when the 49ers don't make the playoffs?

I guess the Texans are the only team in the NFL that does not comprehend their need to improve the offensive line.

This would be the conclusion you would reach if you listened to everyone who whines about how terrible the offensive line was last season, and it was TERRIBLE, I agree! But that was 2002, folks.

They lacked depth and were decimated by injuries including Boselli and Young. That is not the case now.

Chester Pitts will remain the left tackle and there was an article that compared his sack numbers to other rookies and found them to be about average. He will be better.

Milford Brown, who was obtained in last years supplemental draft, should eventually take over at left guard.

Steve McKinney anchors the line at center.

Sophmore Fred Weary returns at right guard.

Now at right tackle we have Zach Wiegert obtained via free agency from Jacksonville.

Greg Randall, Seth Wand, and more give the Texans much more depth than last season.

This is not an All-Pro line with the exception of McKinney when he was with the Colts, but the only knock against the line is their youth, but even that is overblown.

The line will be better and the team will be better, but not a playoff contender, this year. The Texans got the memo and improved the line considerably, and as disappointing as Boselli's retirement was, the Texans were not counting on him being ready for the start of the season. Not to mention the fact that they will be able to run 2 tightend sets this year with the addition of Joppru, and if Mack is any kind of blocker at all.....

            Of course they'll be better...

If I ate 3 pounds of doodie yesterday...and I only had to eat 2 pounds today...that would be "better"...but I'd still be eating 2 pounds of doodie!!!

That was the explanation for the 3 year olds out there. My 3 year old cracks up at the work "doodie". It is pretty funny.

Yes Clay we all know that every team in the NFL has ifs. All I am doing is trying to predict the ifs. We will see if these ifs will come true when the season ends this year and you will all see that I don’t need to be in a mental institution along with Kobe’s accuser . The Texans will be the NFL’s surprise team this year.
