The D will not effect Colt McCoy and the Browns just drafted a potential shutdown corner, something they really needed.

They won 10 games in 07, does that count?

And the Browns have two young WR'ers. If McCoy is nearly as good as you make him out to be, he'll have no problems succeeding with MoMass and Robo.

From what I've read he is good in coverage, has even played some corner here and there (and to pull that off you have to be solid in coverage).

Ankle injury this year was nothing major, a high ankle sprain, so nothing huge but a nagging injury that forces you to miss about 4 weeks.

Had one knee injury in high school that required surgery and one his freshman year of college, no other injuries that required surgery so they appear to have held up fairly well, he started his full junior season and did fine, and last year only missed 5 games due to his high ankle sprain.

So other than that ankle sprain sounds like he's stayed pretty healthy since his freshman year (was a backup as a sophomore so didn't play much).

Don't worry Browns fans about Ward. He is a great safety who can get big hits. He's a very consistent player even when he's not making the headlines. He had an ankle problem early in the season, but has rebounded just fine from it. I've seen him play pretty much every game, and you won't be dissapointed by his play.

        NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

I have to say when the pick was first made I was really thinking wtf, then I read up about him and started to like him, then I watched some videos and he has quickly become my favorite pick.

I love hard hitting safetys, and we haven't had one in a while so I'm happy to have him.

Why did Steve Young keep saying that Jimmy Clausen will be running the same exact offense that he ran in college?

Does he think the Chiefs drafted him?

How can you say the D will not effect the QB? have you ever played or even watched football? please... that might work on someone outside of the lone star state, but Im from Texas. I was raised on football, real football, and you cant sit there with a straight face and tell me that defense doesnt effect the QB. Defense effects EVERYTHING.

10 games... thats cool I guess. they still missed the playoffs.

Im not worried about Colt throwing passes. Thats what he is good at.
I want his team to win games. i want to see him win games in the playoffs. I just dont see any of that happening with the Browns any time soon.

All this said, I am now a Browns fan and will be pulling for them to get it going.

And next year, they will probably trade it to acquire more picks.

Probably. They'll probably just continuously trade off all of their picks until they have all 32 selections in the 1st round for when Brady retires.

I think what he meant was that the defense doesn't affect the offense. Indirectly it does. But not directly.

Texans Defense was not that great at the start of the season it was horrible, yet Matt and Andre still did their thing. Had nothing to do with Chris Johnson having a career day on the defense...oh yeah and the Titans defense was horrible at the time and it did not stop Chris Johnson.

Also, I think a lot of people know Texas is a hotbed for Football talent but it's not the only state. I think Florida and California would also know a little about this 'real football'

I hope Javid is really gonna wear #44, someone that fast should have a lower number. Somebody has to break the trend though right.

I hope the Lions can trade back into the 5th round tomorrow. The line and back 7 still needs some help. So far, so good though.
