I want Joe Haden above all, but that won't happen. After that I want ET or Wilson, but I'd be satisfied with Matthews. I still think he's a bit of a reach, but there's no way he's on the board much longer after that, so Houston can always grab a good d-back in the 2nd round.

I think I'd vomit if Houston took Mathews. If they don't trade up for Haden (lol) and ET is gone I'd want them to trade back, pick up a 2nd or 3rd, and grab Price or maybe McCourty.Comment

I know man, kind of a reach, but sounds like Houston wants him, especially if one of the top tier d-backs are gone.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

Re: 2010 NFL Draft Thread
The only way i'd really get upset about Mathews being picked is if a Haden, Thomas, or Wilson is on the board.
I do agree with the trade back though if Thomas or Wilson isn't there.
One thing though, I think the Texans are looking for specific guys. More traditional backs than scat backs like Slaton and Moats. I think Mathews can come in and help out right away and with a healthy and umm....Non-fumbling Slaton it should help. I mean we lost like 2 games alone on the fact we could not get one yard.
But at that spot, we can be a wildcard depending on whose left on the board. Because the team could also use some help on the interior line...the interior line on both sides of the ball. Although I think that's because we didn't have Pitts for last season, it looks like he won't be there for next season either. DT we need help there too obviously. Okoye isn't bad, he just doesn't draw doubles and no DT on our team does.Comment

Berry is so worth it, and if they play the trade down game again I'm going to go crazy. They traded down 93 times last year to take a guy who has the same name as a 90's Nickelodeon show.Comment

Here's to praying Suh somehow slips to the Bucs or the Bucs trade up for him.
Here's to praying even harder that we at least get McCoy at #3. My poor heart still hurts from how excited I was that everybody thought Tampa would end up with Calvin Johnson, only to have Detroit take himNFL: Bills

Re: 2010 NFL Draft Thread
This time, they need to trade down if Berry isn't there so they can gain more picks and still get Earl Thomas. If they stay in their spot and Berry isn't there, I'm hoping for Thomas, Haden or Graham. If they take JPP or Derrick Morgan, I may slit my wrists.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2010 NFL Draft Thread
Latest Browns draft rumor is that they love Berry and will take him if he is @ 7. If not, they will want to trade down. If they are forced to pick, they are down to either Thomas or Spiller and Spiller has the slight advantage ATM.
Honestly, I do not see how they could screw up if they take any of those guys or trade down.Too Old To Game Club
