Whatever your feelings are on who should have home-field in the 1st round is fine. But at the end of the day, the point of the playoffs is to crown the champion/best team in the NFL. The Saints did not play like the best team in the NFL and lost to a 7-9 team with their season on the line. Therefore they didn't deserve to win the Super Bowl and the current playoff format helped us weed out another team that didn't deserve it this year.

Congrats to all the Seahawk fans. Hasselbeck was great today and our defense was the complete opposite of great. Especially a one Roman Harper.

Now that I think of it the Malcom Jenkins injury had a bigger effect then I thought it would have, seemed to force Harper to play more in coverage rather then around the line of scrimmage

I've just arrived back home from Seattle. This has been my second greatest experience as a fan next to the NFC Championship game. The officiating was poor and frankly that is getting old as a Seahawks fan. I think it is clear what Hasselbeck delivers to our team when compared to Charlie Whitehurst.

No comment on the division record argument. Just going to enjoy the victory... the first important victory in a couple of years!

Not really seeing how the officiating was poor, maybe 1 or 2 calls they missed but that's normal these days.

Man... I fully expected the Seahawks to eventually crumble late, as per my prediction, especially after those two dropped passes and the penalty that took them out of field goal range (I realize it would've been a tough field goal, but still).

But then Marshawn... Unbelievable, and out of nowhere... Not the guy I would have anticipated making a run like that... Won the game for them...

Props to Hasselbeck too... Potentially his last game in Seattle, and he came up huge... I don't think I've seen him play better.

That Marshawn Lynch run was seriously incredible. My favorite part was when he stiff-armed one of the defensive backs and then just stopped running and the defensive back tumbled backwards and Lynch kept going.

Hasselbeck played a great game as well. He made a bunch of just perfect throws. One of the most entertaining playoff games I've seen.

Bitter Saints fans are starting to sound like bitter SEC fans if they weren't already one in the same.

I wasn't gonna chime in until I read this right here. This is just ignorant. Awarding any sort of advantage based on something as arbitrary as having more wins (when strength of schedule is also a big deal in the NFL) would make a mockery of the regular season.

Can we all just stop this argument and accept the fact that this was an incredibly entertaining game and that the Seahawks simply played the better game today and deserve to move on in the playoffs just like the Saints would have had they won.

Anyway, this game just further proved the "Any Given Sunday" and "It's the Playoffs, anything can happen" mentality. Records do not matter in January.

Also, Lynch's run was the single greatest run I've ever seen. I literally yelled "OMG" about 5 times. Incredible.

                              1 more thing.. @ 55's post.

Congrats to the Seahawks. You won your divison and beat the Super Bowl Champs. As this season has shown us anybody can beat anybody on any given day. I love the way the playoffs are set up and wouldn't change anything.
