Matt Hasselbeck named the starter for Saturday.

For some reason I have a bad feeling about this. It might be the death knell in his Seattle career.

I still have more confidence starting Hasselbeck in the playoffs as opposed to Whitehurst. It's risky, but I think it gives us a better chance of winning. Whitehurst did well not screwing up, but he didn't exactly tear it up.

I think Matt Hasselbeck gives you a better chance to win, but I think Whitehurst is the safer choice when it comes to giving the game away. I would have took my chances with Whitehurst to be honest.

For some reason, that's how I feel at the moment.

Saints are really banged up and I'm slightly more confident it'll be a closer game. Graham and the Saints starting safety (name escapes me) are both out. Thomas and Ivory are done. Colston and Shockey are banged up but playing. Who knows?

Graham and Jenkins are gametime decisions more then likely, usually in Sean Payton injury reports that's not a good thing but from the way he was talking I think one of them plays. Shockey is always injured nothing new but he practiced all week, Colston had minor surgery after the Atlanta game but he said he's fine and I think he's at 100% if not close. Atleast we still have Darren Sharper for this game if Jenkins is out.

I think with the Saints D you have to go with a proven starter, Hasselbeck had a great game in NO but I expect NO to make the changes needed. With Whitehurst I just imagine the Saints blitz eating him alive

Nvm Graham/Jenkins out, sucks for this game but atleast we still have Shockey/David Thomas and Darren Sharper. Works out hopefully for the rest of the playoffs IF we win this game I suppose.

These injuries are making me more depressed by the day I thought we were going to playoffs healthy when the season ended.

Neither even made the trip so they're out. As well as Hargrove.

Well I was about to say Hargrove out sucks cause of depth, but I think Jimmy Wilkerson can be the 3rd DT in a rotation. Yeah at the time of the post there wasn't any word on the injuries other then that they were supposed to travel with the team, guess not.

It seems like the stars are aligning for the Seahawks. If they could get Brees to throw a couple picks and they play, at the very least, the way they did against the rams. They could eek out with a win.

And then go to Atlanta and get blown out.

Fixed that for you because Green Bay will be going to Atlanta.

Heh Seattle has a better chance of winning then at first now, but a few injuries still doesn't make up the talent difference between the 2 teams imo. Special teams just needs to be aware of any fakes like in the Cleveland game.
