I like the Eagles because of:
    -Donovan McNabb
    -Brian Dawkins
    -DeSean Jackson
    -I like eagles
-I like the logo (because it's an eagle)
-I don't have any teams to like because of their proximity of my hometown. There's no major sports teams in Mississippi.

My grandfather was from Chicago and he was all about Chicago, when I was a kid he was the only chicago in our family. I always looked up to him and also about half of my family are Packer fans so everything works out! I support the greatest NFL franchise and the richest history filled one. I am the only Bears fan in my whole school (1500 kids) so I am even more pride full when it comes to the Bears and the Bulls!

      Da Bears!

The World Champion Green Bay Packers are my team because, I was born in Wisconsin, it's my birthright. I remember 4-12 seasons in the early 90s and celebrating victories over teams like the Colts and Lions. They have come a long way since then, Thank you God! Did I mention they are the WORLD CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS?!

It goes back to when I was a little kid.

I started watching football in the early 90s, and the team I saw most on TV because they were local were the 49ers, they were also in the playoffs yearly, so I chose them and have been a fan ever since.

I had to figure everything else out on my own after that, because my family taught me nothing about football.

Didn't really have an NFL team growing up. Was a HUGE Warrick Dunn fan when he was at Florida State(so many ABC regional games that I saw of his) and I decided that whomever drafted him would be my team.

I got pretty lucky because being a Bucs fan is awesome. Great stadium, great uniforms, defense is emphasized, etc.

Re: Why do you support your team?

I support the Champion Green Bay Packers, because of my grandfather. My family in general is not into sports. However, my gramps was a huge Packers fan, but I don't really think he had a choice in the matter since I think he only had 3-4 teams to choose from at the time.

So this is how the story goes. My grandparents raised me from the time I was two. So one night, either Sunday or Monday, can't remember, in '94, when I was 8. My grandmother was getting ready to go to work. But before she left she told my gramps that I was to be in bed by 9. Need less to say, at around 8:30 I wen't to take a shower, then I came downstairs to say goodnight and everything. Need less to say he was watching the Packers game. And I was infatuated by it. So I sat down, and ended up watching the entire game with him. And the play of one mans child-like enthusiasm cought my eye, and that man was Brett Favre. Been a fan ever sense. And my gramps got chewed out by my grandma for letting me stay up till midnight

Are you forgetting a little community owned team that just happends to be about 200 miles to the north of Chicago? And who just so happens to be the World Champions for a 13th time? I'll give you 3 guesses as to who I'm talking about, but you'll only need one.

But I have to say, you're very brave being a Bears fan in Wisconsin. I wen't to Chicago not too long ago and I didn't even wear any of my Packers gear for fear of being shot at.

I was originally a fan of LT and not so much the team because they weren't very good. I was 13 or 14 when I started watching football and that was around 03' or 04'(and I think they were the worst team that year or just really bad) I didn't care though because LT is all I wanted to see at first but the team grew on me and 6 or 7 years later I'm still waiting for that superbowl.
Holy ****, you basically typed out my own post for me to a tee. Kinda weird but pretty awesome at the same time.

As a side note, I was also a Falcons fan when I was younger. My reason for loving the Falcons at that time was because of Michael Vick. He was my favorite player (a slight edge over LT). It also helped that I like red and loved their re-designed unis/logo. Eventually after Vick left though I realized I just wasn't as emotionally attached to the Falcons as a fan as I was when Mike was playing for them, so that's why you don't see them in my sig. I'm happy to see them do good, but I realized I'm just not an actual fan of them.

The Chargers on the other hand, I find myself still caring about them even after LT left. I don't have a connection to the players just as players, but as Chargers players, if that makes sense.

I have to say, sometimes it is weird with the whole favorite team thing when you live in a city with basically no pro sports connection (other than the NHL) and grow up with pretty much no influence over a favorite team. At the same time, it is nice that I "found" my team myself and can hopefully hand it down if/when I have kids.

I was flipping threw the channels one day and and decided to try to watch some football because, I had just recently got into football movies especially after watching movies like "Any given Sunday"(my all time fav lol) and "Remember the Titans". And then I saw it...LT booty raped the Titans for about a buck twenty or buck fifity(somewhere in between there) and I was instantly hooked and like they say the rest is history lol.

I do follow the Titans a bit as they are kinda like a second team I root for except against SD if SD doesn't do anything but, I don't claim them and I am definitely no bandwagoner or I would have switched teams a loooong time ago(I would still slap Kaeding if I ever had the chance to see him). I am only emotional with the success of this team and even after all the failure and LT's departure I'm still here.

Keep clinging to that head-to-head all-time record for dear life.

That wasn't necessarily aimed at you, just all the Bears fans who think that stat somehow negates all the other categories we have the Bears beat in.

The Dallas Cowboys since 74, grew up in Chicago and the Bears were terrible so they would not come on tv. Cbs was showing the cowboys alot and when clint longley brought them back on thanksgiving day against the redskins I was hooked and will be until the day I die.
