I don't wish ill will on him or harm to him off the field or on. He simply is who he is to me. Nothing more nothing less.
This I agree with 100%. Especially the business deal. Doesn't do anything for me emotionally or intellectually.
When rookie Randall Cobb was told by this U.S. Marine that he was a big fan of the wide receiver, Cobb said, “I think I’m a bigger fan of yours.”

As I said, I find him an utterly despicable person. I wouldn't go out of my way to help him in any way shape or form. I think the notion he earned his way back in to the league is debatable at best. I think his reform act is just that, an act. He simply now has good handlers who did a fabulous job at image rehab, so that people who don't know any better will buy in to the "he's learned his lesson" stuff hook line and sinker.

And I can understand this. I wouldn't help him either (but to be real, if he gets to a point where he needs help from the likes of me then he blew his 2nd chance at some point along the way).

When I say he earned his spot on an NFL team, I'm speaking based on the work he's put in his entire life to be at the level he is. I could be a saint and nobody is handing me an NFL contract any time soon. He's good enough to start on an NFL team bc he's put the work in to be that good.

        Seriously?
I wouldnt put you on the same level, but i would say evaluate your reasons behind your opinion. The main reason that Vick got so much attention and has gotten so much hatred afterward is that he did wrong and yet he still gets to live a lifestyle far grander than the vast majority of Americans and many dont think that is fair.

Much like Whharton said he earned the right to play football through his talent. He lost it through his mistakes and then earned it back. Wether he has changed or not is between him and god, but he has done what is required of him to be in the position he is in. When i say for emotional and illogical reasons this is exactly what i speak upon. Him and Nike both decided this would be a good move. Thats pretty much all there is to it.

I agree, how a person treats an animal shows what kind of person they are.

In terms of Vick, he's paid for his crime, so I can't fault him anymore. I'm no fan, but he did his time.

I do have compassion for dogs. I would never do what he did. I just think people make too big of a deal about what he did. Its over, what are you gonna do about it? Crying isnt gonna bring the dogs back...

This stopped being about the Nike deal awhile ago and we've had this discussion before.
