How am I getting heated?
I wanted to point out I am not heated at all, I am just pointing things out. It's been a long time since I could be excited about the 49ers.Last edited by Brandwin; 11-09-2011, 02:38 PM.Comment

SF dominated that game. Don't let that final score fool you.Comment

Giants barely won a game vs. a team with the 32nd ranked defense in the league. The Pats are giving up 6.3 yards per play.. You can use that kind of logic both ways.Comment

Don't blame him. His team is 7-1 and Giants fans roll in and talk about how beating them in SF should be an easy victory for the Giants.
Giants aren't good enough to declare any game should be an easy victory. Hell the Giants lost to Washington and Seattle for crying out loud. Beating SF in SF is hardly a given. How about a little respect?
Giants fan talks about barely beating Washington. Guess what. The Giants lost to Washington, and recently barely beat Miami of all teams.Last edited by bkrich83; 11-09-2011, 03:55 PM.Comment

The 49ers are really good and it will take a disciplined effort to beat them. We have to hold on to the ball for deal life. Points will be tough to come by and if we turn the ball over, we will lose.XBL: Mean Greene

Yah I dunno where this 49ers haven't beaten anyone thing comes from either. 6-2 Begnals and Lions on the road. Not sure if beating the Eagles is currently worth much.
Gore isn't the only part of the run game. Hunter gets about 9 carries per game and shouldn't be overlooked. I'd expect that to be 12-15 this game with Gore being injured.Comment

Re: Week 10: New York football Giants (6-2) @ San Francisco 49ers (7-1)
To be fair, it was one person that said it would be no problem while the other one said it would come down to Eli vs. Gore.
Both teams have beaten some good teams and both teams have lost to teams they've had no business losing to but this is the NFL, not the BCS so style points need not apply.
That being said, I think it'll come down to which QB can create the fewest mistakes and/or put their Offense the best situations, especially in Down and Distance. It's arguable that Eli is playing as good as any QB not name Aaron Rodgers this year and we know he has no problem going into a loud, hyped up Stadium like Candlestick will probably be this weekend.
I can see this one ending in a 24-21 type of game with it coming down to the final 2:00 and if the 49ers win this and Alex Smith plays mistake-free Football, then people will start to hop on that bandwagon.
Not sure if beating the Eagles is currently worth much.#RespectTheCultureComment

Division games(especially NFC East games)on the road aren't as easy, no matter what the team's record is.

Hope the 9ers pull it out. Hopefully they make this a dog fight like they do most of their games and grind NY out. Gonna be tough for NY to travel cross country and play a physical team like the 9ers.Comment

Re: Week 10: New York Football Giants (6-2) @ San Francisco 49ers (7-1)
Something about going to San Fran, when they are 7-1, really does make me question the Giants' chances. I never doubt the G-Men. But I'm not going to say we STOMP THEM OUT...
I can see a few turnovers in this game, but from BOTH teams. I think Alex Smith will get rattled. IF. IF. IF this VAUNTED Niners' D is really for really, then Eli will probably have his troubles as well. Or, maybe Eli is great, and we get a fumble or two on the ground. I'm not exactly SURE...but...I see a very SLOPPY/DEFENSIVE/ACTION-PACKED game.
I hate to be so cheesy but this game will probably come down to the least turnovers/where those turnovers are committed.
Giants should really try to POUND the rock this week...I know Eli is off the charts blahzayblah...but let's be real..this is still the NEW YORK GIANTS...we need to start really showing these teams what RUNNING THE BALL is all about.
Either way -- this will be a GREAT, LATE AFTERNOON GAME...which all shall enjoy....and whoever loses will still be in First and looking good. The WINNER of this game....definitely takes 2nd place in NFC Dominance and maybe, just maybe, #2 Overall in the League. Go Big Blue!Comment

Re: Week 10: New York Football Giants (6-2) @ San Francisco 49ers (7-1)
I wasn't directing that at anyone in particular. There seems to be a general lack of respect for the 49ers and either way both teams beat the Eagles.
This wouldn't be the game for the Giants to show they can run the ball. 49ers haven't let up a 100 yard rusher or rushing TD all season. The Giants put an end to Patriot streaks, not 49er.Comment

Maybe the 9ers end the Giants series win streak on Sunday? Is that 3 in a row now.
And I love how all of a sudden the patriots are a cupcake team. When did that happen. When's the last time they had a legitimate defense? 2004?
Next they'll say beating the Packers is nothing since they have an underwhelming defense. Smh.Comment

Since they're letting up 419 YPG.
Packers get turnovers to cover it up.
Though you must agree the 49ers aren't the Pats on D. Secondary isn't fantastic but the front 7 is straight beast. I voted for 4 of them on the pro bowl ballot, almost 5. That Aldon Smith over Blaine Gabbert thing is looking pretty good right now so maybe it'll be 5 by the end of the season.Comment

I love how a 7-1 Niners team is a cupcake at home even, because they had a close game vs. the Redskins. Uhh the Giants lost to the Redskins and had a tight game with the Dolphins.
Giants fan came in to this thread popping off like the game was gonna be a no brainer for the Giants. Don't get it twisted.Comment
