Which is my exact point! They looked like an easy target that wouldn't come back to bite them if they played like douches. You just don't blitz 23 times in a half of football, in the first preseason game, coming out of a lockout shortened training camp. They were being smart asses and now they MIGHT pay for it. I guarantee you Harbaugh has the guys pissed off about that and the fact that they're underdogs at home.

Wasnt it the first preseason game to or no?
I thought I read they had just gotten back to football and only had 1 and a half weeks of practice because of the lockout. Then the Saints blitz like crazy. Not surprising though.Comment

Omg man, they're underdogs according to Las Vegas and gamblers only. I love how all this turns around on the Saints. Their terrible on the road, Brees can't play outside, they've never won a road playoff game, and now the big bad Saints are coming to town all this in a matter of a week.
The Saints probably blitz more than any other team in the league, its what GW does and its been that way in this organization since hes been here. You don't make a statement against a 6-11 ball club. I'm sorry it doesn't make any sense. Your proving your great by beating up on the weakest kid on the block in preseason?
You have one of the top defenses in the league facing one of the top offenses in the league and may the best team win. If an NFL coach is using a preseason game as motivation in the playoffs the 49'ers are in some trouble.Comment

I can't believe were still talking about this and I'm still replying.
What's te point of preseason? To get ready for the regular season right? What do the Saints do a lot on Defense? That's right blitz, soo should they not be getting ready for the regular season?Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers
FWIW, he did the samething while he was in Washington too in which is to blitz like crazy in the 1st Preseason game and then repeat the process in the next 3 games and every preseason while he was in DC.
So it's not just a "Oh, why did he have to blitz like crazy against us??? He doesn't do that to any other team but I guess he didn't take us seriously".
But yeah, if anyone is going to use a preseason game to motivate you or your team, then you're a damn fool and that's putting it nicely.#RespectTheCultureComment

You do realize that the Saints had the ball on the Lions' 7 and knelt four times, right? They also took Drew out early in the 4th quarter against the Vikings, which was a blowout, the week before the whole "Sainta like to run up the score" nonsense started.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers
The Saints are so impressive to me. They seemed to really click as the Packers looked more vulnerable by the week, and it's arguable who the best team in the NFC (and NFL, in my opinion) is. They have weapons everywhere, and I love Williams going after it with the blitzes.
With all that said, the SF 49ers have an amazing defense and it's something different that the Saints haven't seen. I think they'll hold the rush game and the short passes. It's going to come down to if they can keep the Brees-to-[insert any of their WR's name here] deep connection from clicking. It seemed like the Saints went long a ton against Detroit, and they completed a couple of them and should have completed a few more. Honestly, I'm not familiar with the 49ers secondary outside of Donte Whitner (Go Bills! Draft 2012), but they're going to have to cover that deep ball.
It's a lot to ask of the 49ers defense, or ANY defense, for that matter. But I think San Francisco is equal to the task.
And looking ahead, I can totally see San Francisco going into Green Bay and taking them down, or staying home and beating the Giants.
I really like the Saints, but this matchup goes in favor of the 49ers in my opinion. I'm a believer in San Fran.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

One thing about the 49ers pass defense is, they have giving up some big plays, but once you get into the redzone they are as good as any.Comment

Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers
I have no faith the SF's defense against the Saints. More specifically the pass defense.
The 49ers secondary has done horribly against every competent passer they have played. Drew Brees will demolish them through the air.
It may sound odd, but I feel that if the 49ers shut down the Saints run game, it can get ugly, much faster.
I dont see how the 49ers offense keeps up with the Saints. The Saints defense can handle the 49ers for under 30 points. Thats all they need.Comment
