Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers
It'll be an interesting battle to say the least, i'm interested in seeing if the Saints can still run on the 49ers. They have one of the best Run D, but the Saints do have the best Guard tandem in the NFL along with another Pro Bowl LT and a solid stable of RBs.
With the way Brees has played of late I have full confidence in him winging it the whole game if it comes down to that, but i'd rather not if we can get some semblance of a running game to set up the PA.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I wonder if Payton will decide to come out running the ball just to prove a point. He seemed angry when people suggested that the Saints weren't a good running team.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

i am really looking forward to see the new alex smith and if he can put up 24pts which i think should be enough if that D can slow the saints...NOW PLAYING: NBA Live, madden 11,12, battlefield v, F1 2020 and injustice 2 and COD:MW

I'm assuming you read the article were analysts are saying the 49'ers will have a hard time putting up 24 against the Saints as well as holding them to under 24?Comment

Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers
but i dont expect a shootout, the saints are an enigma at times when they are bad that play really bad.
my post didnt say it but i fully expect the saints to win, as i feel the 49ers are a surprise team but i have been hearing things about alex smith i wanna see how he does because i could have swore he was playing like garbage previously but he played very good this season i believe coaching can bring out alot in players and maybe he has the right coach now, i know he has talent.....NOW PLAYING: NBA Live, madden 11,12, battlefield v, F1 2020 and injustice 2 and COD:MW

That is a very much Sean Payton type of thing to do, few runs if they work then a PA bomb.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

New Orleans Saints + Natural Grass = Much More Ordinary Team
Last time they played on grass they struggled to beat the Titans.
I hope I am not wrong, but the Saints seem like a team that if you hit em in the mouth enough times, they may fold.Comment

Re: NFC Divisional Weekend: New Orleans Saints @ San Francisco 49ers
I saw this in an article earlier, the Saints are 12-4 outdoors in the last 3 seasons and 22-13 since '06. In those 35 games they've played outdoors, they've scored 30 or more 19 times.
If the Saints become a "ordinary team" on Saturday it's because of the 49ers D, not some grass or sunshine.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I just love this total misconception.

I don't know what the Saints are outside, or even if it's being outside, but they are definitely NOT the same team away from the Superdome. I guess you could probably say that for any team(home vs away), but it is magnified with the Saints considering how dominate they are at home.Indianapolis Colts
