Both players and franchises are in different places.

So in short me coming in with "I just want another Super Bowl" was not off base when I saw "my" guy's name being consdered for MVP.
Again, you're acting like they're mutually exclusive. Wanting an MVP doesn't mean you don't also want a Super Bowl. It's not like a fan clamoring for a player from their favorite team to win an award is going to affect their chance of winning a Super Bowl.

That's my last word. It's stupid to go further into it

Here's a question I just don't have the historical football knowledge to provide an answer for:

If the Panthers go undefeated and win it all, can they be coined as the best team of all time, or at least in the top five?

Not so sure. I would have been able to say that for the Patriots because going in that's the kind of dominance I expected, although they somewhat fell flat given the injuries. But if you are dominant without the expectation, do you receive the same kind of status?

I guess the bigger question for me is: Do the Panthers deserve the same "dominance" credit that a team like the Patriots or Packers would have, had they gone undefeated?

Nah, man you're just catching feelings over me not caring about MVP. Simple as that.

You're seeing an argument that doesn't exist. He's not acting or insinuating anything, the measure of success for that franchise has been established as a much higher bar for the better part of a decade or more. An MVP or offensive player award on the way to a loss in the playoffs means little. It's a greater accomplishment for Cam and that franchise to win individual awards, with hopes (and expectations, given regular season success) of much more in the playoffs.

Depends on how you define great. I can't imagine the only 19-0 team ever not being considered a top 5 great team, but I'm sure people will find reasons. The schedule has been really soft, but they've been dominating teams since the Packers game (aside from the Saints). I guess the Dolphins aren't considered one of the greatest teams of all-time, they're just talked about as the only undefeated team.

I'd consider them one of the best teams ever, sure. Depends on playoff performance though more than regular season schedule IMO. Where they stand in the pecking order debate isn't one I'm interested in though and would leave to others due to all sorts of factors (schedule, eras, rules, etc)

Pretty much his to lose, unless there's another legit contender to win it.

Apparently, you don't want the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.

He better win it. The only other person I've heard it mentioned for is Adrian Peterson.
