Different rules back then. You need The Man to win now.

Meh...Manning isn't what he used to be, but that's not the question. The question is does he or Brock provide the team with the better chance to win...I'm not convinced that Peyton isn't their best option at this point, if only for his mind.

Manning lead the league in INT's in 12 games.

He's the smartest QB to ever play the game, his ability to check at the line is still the best but his physical ability just isn't there anymore.

He overthrew several sure TD's today (and don't let the announcers saying it was the pressure on the second one fool you).

Not to say they can't win it with him in, they've gotten where they are strictly because of the defense but I still believe Brock is the better option at quarterback.

If the Browns really want to punish Manziel, they'd keep him on the team and not draft another QB.

Sounds like Johnny thinks he could get picked up by a better team so he's blowing off the Browns.

Supposedly Haslam is the one who forced Farmer and Pettine to burn the first round pick on Manziel.

But now they'll probably ruin Goff or Lynch's career.

You guys are acting like Osweiler is a great QB and Denver just threw away their SB chances.

IMO it's the right decision, but they are in a tough spot regardless. I'd rather take my chances on the smartest QB in the league and by far the most experienced QB on the roster. If Peyton plays pre KC game they are good enough to win it all IMO.

People still use that contract he got as opposed to his actual play. So because he's not playing up to that contract, he's mediocre.

Peyton will be starting that playoff game watch.

He will, and he'll be torn apart by the fans and media when he fails. And it's a damn shame because he's one of the greatest qbs of all time, just not a good one right now.

Figures the Peyton badmouthing would start already. He blew some playoff games and many others had nothing to do with his play when kickers and defenses screwed up.If I've learned anything over the years it's that many circumstances have to play out and go right to get to and win a Superbowl.Let's see what happens.Enjoy the great ones while they're still playing.I've never been a big Tom Brady fan but players like him and Peyton don't come around very often.
