    LOL. Great.

Getting in a fight as an adult is never a good look, and especially not as an athlete/celebrity. So yeah, not good, you're not smart McCoy. Higher standards man.

But I wanna know, why does it matter what jobs these guys have if they're not on the clock? It's never, "Celebrity beats up off duty accountant". I guess it's not the same but they're trying to grab the headlines and, well, it works. Cops are people too, and can be just as much a d-bag as the next person.

We'll see what comes of this. Probably going to catch a game for this stunt. Ugh.

Them being cops shouldn't matter in this scenario, but it will. Big time.

McCoy should know better then to be assaulting anyone though.

Well looks like we're gonna have a heavy dose of Karlos Williams next year. I can't see McCoy getting away with this. What an idiot. My heart goes out to the people he wailed on.

I'm a benefit of the doubt kind of guy but this McCoy story is just getting worse.

The full release (from the Sporting News) says 4 NFL players are suspects and the description of the fight is pretty brutal.

The officers for 40 year olds and probably not physically apt to fight 20-somes but either way it sounds like it was 4 against 2.

I'm willing to bet there was some instigating that happened before the attack but once they were down and it continued seem to be over the top.

Still will wait for the full story (if we ever get it), but not looking great.

I'm with you on that, but if those cops did instigate it then I feel no sympathy for them. Guess we'll have to wait and see what the whole story was.

Yep, if the cops started it then it mitigates it a little but even so, the way the fight was described and there's apparently a video it does seem Shady and Co. might've gone a little overboard.

We need all the facts before we can judge properly but it doesn't look good.

Considering what we've known of the NFL HOF for YEARS, I really don't understand the issue with TO not being a "first ballot HOFer".

Personally I think the idea that the 1st ballot should mean something different is pretty stupid and hate people that vote with that in mind. However I'm fine with them only letting a certain number of people in each year, which would prevent quite a few HOF worthy players from getting in the years we think they should.

TO is going to get in the HOF... there is no question about it. But we already talked about how hard it is for WRs in general so there shouldn't be a surprise he's going to have to wait. And you can see what you want about only looking at on the field. But with people weighing the actual effect of a bad teammate, and they see arguably the most talented WR we've ever seen having average team success, it's not that hard to listen to Polian's pitch. The one SB he played in (and played great in) the Eagles reached with him rehabbing injury, so even his credit getting to that point should be capped. Considering how he left SF, PHI and DAL, one person could say his distractions, demands and behavior limited these teams from reaching the ultimate goal... someone else can say these were all great teams that could've won it all if TO didn't get himself run out of each situation. Either way, it's definitely enough to keep him from jumping other WRs already waiting to get in.

Has there ever been a WR 1st ballot HOFer?

Jerry Rice was. Not sure if others.

Here is the thing about TO. Dallas felt that they were better off without him . Not only did they release him, but they did so at a time when instead of saving money it cost them more money to release him.

They paid money to get him off the team. Let that sink in. If you wanted a reason for putting in Harrison over TO that should be good enough.

(personal note: I disagreed with Dallas' decision at the time, and still do)
