Re: NFL Off Topic
Not at all. I've been a fan for 39 years. All but 3 in that span have ended in disappointment. It's part of it and there are much more important things in life.
My point, quite simply, is that Jacksonville has proven to be a fair weather fan base. Sure, there are lots of loyal fans but they can only fill the stadium when they are winning.Comment

This isn't some new revelation. Sure there are certain teams that don't have that issue, but there's no way that luxury would be afforded to every team. That's just how it is.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
There are many NFL teams you can say that about. In fact there are many teams in many different sports across many countries that call all be said the same of.

But that's beside the point. I was strictly referencing Jacksonville and their tarps. Nothing more, nothing less.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
But if you go back and look at each year for 10 years, yeah Jacksonville is in the bottom half, but there is nothing special about them. Virtually every city is made up of fair weather fans.
Not like a major city that was just given two franchises when it has shown that it has no interest in supporting one...
Btw, what was the deal with 2009?Last edited by ggsimmonds; 02-12-2018, 08:34 PM.Comment

That data comes from ticket sales, not actual attendance.

And yes, there are fair weather fans everywhere but then you see that Green Bay has sold out something like 333 consecutive home games.
Everyone wants to pretend it's the same all over the NFL. If so, show me the tarps! [emoji16]Comment

Don't call it a comeback: Johnny Football is attempting a comeback with the developmental spring league.

I feel like we hear this every few months. On one hand, go away Johnny. On the other, he didn’t get much time to perform... it was the off the field stuff that saw him wash out.
It’s like with Josh Gordon. Sure, attempt a comeback, more power to you. But I’ll always be a bit weary of when the other shoe will drop.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
