    Re: NFL Off Topic

My guess is it would be either a player or a second round pick.

The Steelers don't have a lot of leverage but they don't HAVE to do anything so they can control a little bit what the return would be.

Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer will become the first female duo to call NFL games, and they will do it for Amazon Prime Video’s live streaming coverage of 11 Thursday Night Football games, starting this week when the Rams host the Vikings.

Can't be worse than the MNF crew.

I wonder if the NFL will listen to JJ Watt, probably not.

Roughing the Passer calls are absolutely out of control.

Oh, guess I didn't investigate further.

The NFL's competition committee plans to discuss the proliferation of roughing the passer penalties in the league so far this season.

I blame it all on Aaron Rodgers and his brittle collarbone.

The good ole Aaron Rodgers rule.

Actually, the roughing rules have been in place since the mid 90's, but not enforced.

Next week we’ll see the top 4 rookie qbs start. A lot earlier than expected. It’ll be interesting which one will end up with the better year. My guess would be Darnold.

That will be VERY interesting. So Amazon is using a different crew while on the TV side it's FOX personnel? I'll be a bit bummed as I would love to hear them but that feed won't be available in Canada.

It's also a re-interpretation. It used to be that you had to physically lift the QB THAN put your full body weight on them for it to be called. Now it's just any time you put a majority of body weight. This comes from Mike Pereira who was the head of officiating for YEARS.

                  Good for Andrea Kremer.

It does make me wonder how much ESPN wishes they had Mike Tirico now.

I will be glad when things like gender and race aren't seen as even remotely noteworthy in this type of context. All it does is energize ignorant and trollish people on both sides.

That said, I hope they do a great job.

I think it warrants a mention but yeah, I hope for a post-racial and post-gender world where we can get past labeling people based on race, gender and other things.

Glad that Eric Reid is back on a team, happier that he is playing for Carolina, but incredibly annoyed that this didn't happen 8 months ago.

There's no chance this signing happens if Jerry Richardson still owns the Panthers.

Is this weird to anyone else? There’s two more games to play until that bye week. Bell’s setting his own schedule.

I guess at this point the bridge is so burned, calling the shots isn’t so crazy.

I can’t say I disagree with Bell’s actions after seeing Thomas go down this past week. Especially as a RB who’s had serious mileage put on him so quickly. Bell may be asking for too much, but I can’t fault him for trying to save the financial viability of the position he plays. Future elite RB may owe him credit for easing their negotiations in the future.

I also think he’s with a team that had no plans of veering off course for their star RB. Other teams may not be so steadfast in their thinking, the organizational makeup, importance on positions, etc. Rams didn’t hesitate to crown Gurley (and like 5 other players), so i think it really is case by case.

As a football fan, I want to see this guy on the field ASAP. He is electric.
