Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
I guess you could count Brees, he had a phenomenal '04 and his '05 was decent so you could say he was entering his prime. He just took his prime to a new level it seems with his injury as in his book it mentioned how it forced him to focus on certain muscles he's never done before, etc.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
His career arc was just plain weird.
I don't think Warner moved around during his prime as much as he had two distinct and separate primes for the Rams and Cardinals. He certainly wasn't in his prime during his final two years in St Louis where he was benched for Marc Bulger, and he wasn't supposed to be anything but a temporary stand-in for Eli Manning and Matt Leinart during his one year in New York and the beginning of his stint in Arizona.Comment

The only names out of all that have been thrown out, that I'd take is Moon and maybe Brees. I'm talking guys in their prime or pretty close to it, leaving. Brees was becoming good, nowhere near where he is now.
I'm talking like ARod, LBJ, Bosh, Gretsky, etc. Guys that were damn near or already dominating when they changed teams. Or at least top 2/3 of their position.
I don't think any of the QB's named were considered top 2 or maybe even top 5 when they changed teams.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Yeah, if you own a gun you should know that LaGuardia is the worst place in the country to try to bring a gun into, even if you have a license in another state. With his gun being illegal I can't see any way that he stays out of jail unless he gets the friendliest prosecutor ever.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Read up on the info as it comes out. So far there is a completely idiotic story of them finding the gun in his carry on. But there's also a more logical (but still stupid) story of him realizing he had the gun in his check in baggage, bringing it to the attention of the people at the airport for advice on how to handle it at that point, and then getting taken in for it.
I'm not making excuses for anyone who doesn't know they have a gun in their luggage even if that is the true story. I'm just saying it might just be dumb, and not necessarily Plaxico dumb.Comment

Yeah. Like you (or someone else said) I'm not sure he'll get any leniency, but in the court of public perception I'll cut him a little more slack.Comment
