    Re: NFL Off Topic

The last 22 games the Ravens entered halftime with the lead, they're 22-0. The last 6 games the Ravens trailed at the half, they're 0-6.

I'm also kind of surprised their game against the Steelers wasn't flexed in for Sunday Night Football in place of Cowboys vs. Eagles. I know that's a classic SNF matchup and the Cowboys seem to always be watched regardless, and I know the Cowboys just had a MNF game, but without Dak and with two lackluster performers this doesn't really seem like a compelling game tonight. I'd like to be wrong, of course.

I understand the last game they flexed out was because of COVID reasons, but it's also because of COVID that I feel these games can be changed without much recourse as we're not trying to inform tens of thousands of fans about it.

CBS and FOX can prevent something like 10 games over the season from being flexed. Being that the next Ravens/Steelers game is already in Primetime, there is no way they are giving the rights away to this game.

You teach me something new all the time in this area. And it makes total sense. I wouldn't want to lose the ratings

Awesome to know, thanks for the heads up!

My #2 would've been 49ers vs. Seahawks, but we all know Cowboys vs. Eagles would get better ratings anyway.

How did the entire League miss on DK Metcalf?

              Unreal.

Nah, I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful towards areobee. I appreciate his thoughts on this new era of Patriots football. It was just to illustrate how quickly things change. We all jumped on the Cam bandwagon after the first few weeks, but I still felt the deal was structured fairly with performance incentives given his recent injury history. I’m disappointed we’re not seeing Cam’s best still, because he’s so much fun to watch and unlike any other QB I’ve seen in the NFL.

I’ll save the real trash talk for this week’s Bills/Pats game. Tryna win this Super Bowl right quick. [emoji14]

                  Unreal.
Didn't expect a guy that excelled in only 2-3 routes to be used exactly how he should be used at the next level.

They aren’t even gonna move the game lol

Apparently protocols changed after the few week stretch where we had a bunch of positives to where they now categorize those around the infected as high risk and they must isolate for 5 days. No game reschedules since that change. It’s either luck or it’s working. With a few guys turning up positive on Monday after playing on Sunday, through next week will be a good test of which it is. A bunch of teams have had cases the last few days, we’ll see if it gets to the level the Titans were at...

Pretty obvious NFL has taken the stance that teams will just have to play short handed going forward. As long as the spread of the virus is limited with contact tracing protocols being followed, then the game goes on.

Now SF had to add Aiyuk and Trent Williams to the list, so both out tmr. Game will still go on as planned.

I can understand the League doesn't want to lose $1billion, like the other leagues are claiming.

They may manage to turn a profit if they can survive the next 3 months.

... I don't have much sympathy for the Players. As a Union, they are by far the weakest in sports. Collectively, they can't stand together to accomplish much of anything. They definitely didn't have the power to stop play this season.
