Reporting with @FieldYates: The Patriots will be canceling their Friday practice after a positive COVID-19 test, per a source. There is also a second test they are awaiting to confirm is a positive.

If the game could not be played Sunday, the NFL would be presented with its toughest scheduling challenge to date. Both teams, the Patriots and Broncos, had their byes last weekend and bye flexibility is gone. https://t.co/HMCsLPbd8l

IMO it will take multiple Titans-sized outbreaks, concurrently.

Imagine if someone loses a championship game because a couple of their key players' game's got postponed or just straight up cancelled.

What type of labs is the NFL continuing to use that can't run a test correctly? Then if the lab keeps screwing up, can you even trust the 2nd run that said they were false positives? Hopefully they are doing separate tests and sending them to a different lab to confirm instead of having the same lab test the sample again.

Kind of sounds like you might not understand or appreciate the volume and scale of testing being performed.

In the grand scheme of things i completely agree. And plus, i dont even have much money involved anyways AND I'm still in a position to win money too. But with how random and inconsistent things are ATM, I wish fantasy seasons would just shut down. I can't imagine the outcry towards the NFL and ESPN/Yahoo/NFL.com if a couple games get postponed/cancelled on week 16 and mess up championship games.

The size and volume is relatively small for the amount of tests being performed, it's <100 per team. The false positive % is supposed to be very low for these tests, but we may not know the real % because the average person isn't going to be tested again with the same sample.

The issue is they are rerunning the same sample again. So how is the test returning positive? Either it's in the small % of false positives or the labs continue to screw up. You wouldn't be seeing multiple people on the same team have false positives on the same day if it was just test failures. The chance multiple tests return false positives is probably extremely small.

If these tests are really false positives, then the labs continue to screw up.

He took one year off completely without taking any beating to his body at all. He's not your typical 28 year old running back. His ability is still similar to what it's been in the past, the Jets are just morons who don't know how to use him correctly

This is my territory lol. I'm the one usually fighting for these old backs. But think with. It's more of a wait and see in my opinion. He hasn't been health in my opinion.
