Reminds me alot of James Jones. A nice peice on a really good offense. Definitely a guy you can win with. Not going to be a deciding factor or difference maker in a Championship.

I'll take Hockenson and Golladay over anything the Rams have right now. That might be based more on potential than production at this point, but I'll stand by it.

Put those two in McVays offense, or any of the Shanny offshoots, they'd set the world on fire.
And this is when I pull the, "you don't watch....." card. Dude is a clutch factor on 3rd downs. He's damn near an auto first down. Keeps drives alive. Very much reminds me of a Jarvis Landry in which everything he does doesn't show up in the box score.

Hockenson only had 200 more yards than Higbee [emoji2377]. But if you're going with potential over production then I think you're missing the point of the Rams being in win now mode.

That is the most salient point imo. If you believe the Lions talent is better positioned for 3 years down the road that is one thing. The Rams aren't trying to win 3 years from now, they want to now

I don't see a team giving up a 1st for Wentz. There are still other QBs that could be on the market.

I think he still has "upside" even more than a guy like Goff. The approach Eagles took last year was puzzling. Had way to many cooks in the kitchen with different opinions with all those offensive assistants.

But, Carson does need a fresh start and obviously doesn't want to be there. It's one thing to give him that extension early, but don't know why they structured that contract this way. He hasn't said anything in couple months outside a tweet about Rodney. I don't see how he could be "fixed" in situation next year when we're not expected to win a lot. But at the same time, I'm not sold on Hurts as a Franchise QB.

I say send Wentz, Hurts, and a few 1st round picks to Houston. It may take more than that but maybe not. Perhaps Houston finds a 3rd party to give them something for Hurts.

If Jeff and Howie go all out after Watson then my hope in the front office vision will be restored lol.

Thankfully Watson would veto that trade.

                    Nice to dream lol.

This is a full rebuild. Yes O-Line should be better with Johnson and Brooks back, especially if they can get another year out of Kelce, but you definitely have to prepared to replace all 3 the following year or 2. Graham and Cox probably have 2 more years with team. You can include Slay. I like Slay, but should have went after one of the younger CBs last offseason like Jones or Bradberry. Safety has holes at both spots. Need competition at Kicker. Pretty much need talent all over. So, I expect another sub 6 win season. So, I don't see how you can "fix" Carson and lose. And this is the NFL, you don't want a QB battle/competition. It's usually a bad thing if you a need a competition at QB in the first place. I think it's best to trade him. I don't think he had any backing from teammates when those reports came out and how do you go back to that locker room.

Why would Indy or Bears want Carson Wentz anyway? If you feel like you are a QB away, why would you want a fixer upper unless you're betting high on his upside. I would rather go after Derek Carr since they're rumors that Raiders want to upgrade

                      Re: NFL Off Topic

There's a lot of smoke with the Wentz rumors. I was doubtful at first because of the dead money cap hit, but it is seeming more likely. He hasn't spoken since week 12(besides Rodney), he hasn't tweeted about the firing of Doug or hiring of Nick, didn't come out in defend himself against the reports. He did come in entitled being BMOC at a FCS Powerhouse school, and after the 2017 season must have had his head in the clouds.

I still feel that Jalen Hurts pick was a terrible selection from the start. I like Hurts. He shown way more leadership and obviously mentally stronger than Wentz, there wasn't logic behind the pick. If you gave him that huge extension and pretty saying "you're the franchise QB of the future", you don't draft a backup QB in the second round when you have other pressing needs. They wasted a 5th round pick on Clayton Thorston the year prior. So I get the want to be able to develop a backup QB through the draft rather than spend $12M to a Chase Daniels type. But, not in the 2nd round. They mentioned about missing out on Russell Wilson. That shouldn't be the reason for drafting Hurts if you think Wentz is the guy. They gave him unnecessary pressure that he wasn't equipped to handle. If they didnt draft Hurts and he still had a poor season, it would be more reasonable to draft a QB this year. What if the top 3 QBs goes top 5(which Is very likely with teams under Eagles wanting a QB), do they feel a Lance or Jones have more upside than Hurts. I don't think next year's class is well regarded. We knew a year ago that Lawrence and Fields were the top 2 guys for this year. Theres no clear cut guy next year. So, you would have to see what you got in Hurts.

I don't really see how that makes sense for Bears. Both Pace and Nagy have their jobs on the line, why would you want to depend on Wentz in that position. I get that they're in win now position and with jobs on the line, you can't draft a QB(which at that point could be Mac Jones). But, there are better QBs they could go after. I would trade that 20s pick for a Derek Carr than a Carson Wentz. Plus Foles would be there, not sure if that's good for his psyche lol

Wentz makes sense for a team that has has huge need,
good supporting cast, strong minded coaches, jobs are relatively safe for HC/GM. Colts make sense. He walks in with starting job with only one QB on roster, good O-Line and RB, coach/scheme familiarity, small market.

I could see the Bears doing it if it’s a similar situation to the Rams where the Eagles give them a draft pick to take Wentz off their hands. Bears don’t really have the cap room to do that though. I thought the Eagles got rid of Pederson because he didn’t want Wentz and they brought in a new coach specifically to fix him. Now they’re getting rid of Wentz too?

Edit:On second thought, they were dumb enough to give up a draft pick for Foles and his contract so I could definitely see Pace getting fleeced in a deal for Wentz

Bears QB coach was with the Eagles in 2016-2017. They’re going to make the deal, then really hype up their potential to “fix” him.

Now all they need is a feel-good story about him rooting for the Bears once as a kid and the introductory press conference writes itself.
