Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
I think we're pretty far off from the NFL being progressive. One guy being himself in public isn't something for the NFL to brag about especially considering some player comments the past couple of years.

This would be the greatest coup the NFL could pull off if they got somehow got this.#RespectTheCultureComment

Its gonna take a brave soul to break down that barrier in sports. I dont think some paparazzi snapping a few photos says anything about progress in this respect.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
They said the theme will stay the same but the singer will change. Also, I would never want them to have that theme for football. Current theme fits the NFL much better.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Anyway...professional sports locker rooms are completely different than the real world. Not nearly as progressive.Comment

I know its easy for young people (myself included) to think, hey do what you want I dont care. The world is so accepting now, no need to keep it a secret. But frankly, it isnt nearly as accepting as you suggest.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
If it were easy, we wouldnt be having this conversation today in 2013. There are reasons why athletes, politicians, CEOs, principals, Police Officers etc etc do not wish to be public about this kind of thing.

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
I only graduated high school in 2008, but we had guys that you "knew" were gay, even if they tried to hide it.
It didn't change a thing.
Sure, a few jokes in the locker room/shower happened, but you're brothers. Everyone makes jokes on each other, gay, straight, bi. It doesn't matter. You treat your teammates like brothers, and you don't turn away from your brother just because of one life style difference...
Unless he's a serial killer, than it might be okay.--

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Yeah, you can.
A lockerroom is a lockerroom, no matter what way you try and cut it. High School, College, NFL. It's still a bunch of guys. You're just suppose to be more immature when you're a kid. And if a bunch of immature kids can accept a gay teammate, a bunch of grown *** men can, too.
There's no difference but age.--

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
They better not get someone awful/ugly to be the SNF chick. Hell, I'd scrap that entire intro and just go back to the original John Williams theme. Don't like the current remixed main theme as much as the original.Comment
