    Re: NFL Off Topic

The Herald report contends that the Dolphins traded Bess to the Browns a month after he was hospitalized against his will, and that the incident had not come to light until today.

This makes the Davone Bess situation a lot more interesting.

Basically Bess has had a history of mental health issues. He was arrested because he was having an episode in public two months before the Browns traded for him. Apparently the Browns were unaware of his history. Interesting debate to be had because the Dolphins weren't required to disclose any information about Bess' mental health issues but Ireland COULD have warned the Browns. All in all seems kinda shady that the guy gets arrested due to his mental health issues and two months later the Dolphins are shipping him out to a team that is completely unaware of his issues.

I watch Super Bowl XLV highlights every now and then. That's really the only one.

        You skip that one though.

Wouldn't surprise me to see new rules implemented to include any mental red flags to go with the medical, physical ones. I can't blame MIA for not offering up that info; CLE probably doesn't trade for him if they do. He's not good enough to overlook that. It would be a nice courtesy, but they're running a business. Money vs. morals...

This is getting messy, though. Sounds like Bess is either doing more then just smoking weed or does have a mental illness.

Hopefully, Cleveland or the NFL provide help instead of just cutting him loose.

Yeah I have less problem with the Dolphins not informing the Browns than I do with the Dolphins finding out about this information and basically just letting him go to another team, that doesn't have the knowledge. I think that's dangerous.

I do. And since "my team" has never appeared in one, I can watch them all, lol.

I love the sounds you don't hear when the game is live. Thanks to the Sabol's for that!! (RIP to both)

You'd think the NFL would have some kind of protocols in place since the Barrett Robbins and (blanking out on the name here) the KC player that killed himself.

I love breaking out my Saints SB blu Ray. Entertaining to hear Sean Payton yelling at his running backs about their cleats, wanting juicy fruit only, etc.

Jahvid Best is going (going) back (back) to Cali (Cali) as a student coach for the Golden Bears. Good for him.

He wasn't a bad pick…good player until the concussions rocked him. No one can see that coming...

His concussions started in college. He was a well-known risk, which is why he dropped to the end of the 1st round and the chumps in Detroit took him.

Plenty of people saw it coming.
