    Re: NFL Off Topic 2012

I wrote a blog about why I love Game Rewind this year (link in my sig, sorry to plug it.). But I went on there today, and got an awesome surprise. The NFL has gone ahead and allowed for all the game from 2011 to be viewed in their entirety from the coaches cam perspective. It had been select plays.

    That. Is. Awesome!

You know for all his shenanigans Gronk is the last guys I would expect to get a DUI. He may be a big clown, but in all the interviews and things I've seen his just seems like he isn't "stupid" which is what you have to be to be a multimillionaire (re: pro athlete) and drive drunk.

I however would not be shocked of Gronk got herpes from a groupie however.

As for your last point I think that's a safe assumption.

Mike Irvin's dipping in the white powder again.

Irvin told the Boston Herald that if he had his way, he’d change the name of the Vince Lombardi Trophy to recognize Belichick as well.

“I think the world of Belichick,” Irvin said. “I told him this, ‘Man, if it was up to me, that trophy would be called the Lombardi/Belichick.’ I don’t care what they think. It would be called the Lombardi/Belichick. That’s how good he is to do what he’s doing in this day and age, what the league is now. I would call it the Lombardi/Belichick.”

Irvin is crazy. Yes beli has a great run as a coach is this day and age, but Lombardi was unparalleled.

Also I am excited because we didn't have cable at the apartment so we signed up for directv here. The first year is 29 bucks for us (the choice ultimate package) but here's the topper. A free year of NFL Sunday Ticket. Pure football bliss.

Yeah that's my only hold up. I'm hoping we can get signal in our apartment. They're coming out tomorrow for the install (we have to put the dish on a tripod on our balcony). Someone down the apartment has it and is situated similar to ours... but with these things you never know.

I just signed up for Directv as well(much cheaper compared to comcast or fios) but also jsut got an e-mail saying they are upgrading me to NFL Sunday Tikcet Max for free. I signed up for the $34.99 package though. So I get the free mobile to phones or tablets also free this year.

Goodell believes that football should become an Olympic sport.

"We're already taking steps to gain that IOC recognition," Goodell told Mike Florio on the Dan Patrick Show via ProFootballTalk. "We have, I think, 64 countries that are playing American football now, and that's one of the requirements. That's been growing dramatically -- I think it was 40 just five years ago."

Other countries are playing football, but it will take some time until they play it well. Watching the U.S. face off against any international team other than Canada would be borderline inhumane.

                                Link

If this were to happen, there would never be any players you knew playing in it.

Also, every tournament in the near future would end with the top teams being: USA, Canada, Japan, & Mexico. Oh, and Goodell is slightly off on the number of countries playing American Football as it is currently 62, not 64.
