    Re: NFL Off Topic

People cried the "if it aint broke don't fix it" crap when they added Wild-Card weekend and it's only made the playoffs better. I'm all for only giving the #1 seed a bye.

When were people against adding Wild Card Weekend because I don't ever recall people hating that? Can't really see how they would either.

        But that kick...

If it's good, do they lose the next three? Do they even make it? They sure seemed snake-bitten after that...

Good grief...Four Super Bowls In A Row! Like DiMaggio's 56...don't think we'll see it again. (Of the two, my bet is on the 56 falling first)

From a player's persepective...what is your mindset prior to The 4th SB?

We need a full on documentary about those guys.
        (Is there one already?)
I think if Norwood made that FG the Bills would've at least gotten to and won the next SB. They probably wouldn't have had the resiliency that came from failure to make the comeback against Houston though to be honest after Houston got the big lead they went into a shall so maybe they probably would've won that and taken the AFC as they matched up well against the Steelers and Dolphins that year. Having the swagger of winning one or two SBs they would've played A LOT better against Dallas. '93 i'm not so sure about, as the Bills were more dominant that year. Either way they probably split the two SBs against Dallas if they made it both years.

As for a documentary the NFL-N's limited series The Missing Rings profiled the 1990 squad. I agree with you though as i'd love to see a full on look at the entire Jim Kelly/Marv Levy era.

Kaepernick and 49ers negotiating, he reportedly wants more than $18m/year.

WOW. Eagles have Cooper and Maclin signed. Rumors are they may look for someone to trade for Desean Jackson.

I would hate Jackson to leave but there are lots of reports hes starting to become "T.O." in the locker room. Guy is super fast but Im not sure if he deserves best WR money. I think he still has 3 years left on his current contract yet he wants more??

I'll take this with a grain of salt for now. He said a few weeks ago, he'd be willing to take less if it meant keeping the team together.

No way he gets $18M at this point.

Edit: Jackson is exactly the kind of WR we need.

The cap is projected to increase significantly over the next few years. His agent is aware of it. He is gonna make bank off the 9ners.

I agree as we discussed this in our team thread.I would take any slot WR right now Amendola,Jackson anyone. The problem is Mr.Roman I would hate to get D-Jack and waste his talents.Doubt we have enough cap for him though?

With the cap going up $9m this year and projected to go up another $10m next year I don't think $18m/year is as bad as it sounds.

Are we ever going to not get up in arms about QB salary demands? Revenue is skyrocketing and the cap is going up. QB salaries will continue to go up.
