I believe you're right, Tebow had terrible practices especially when it came to his mechanics in throwing the ball and such. I know that in NYJ some of his teammates called him a bit of a malcontent and didn't like him all that much.

A statistical oddity with the Bengals playing tonight and having a tie:

The Bengals are in first place in the AFC North but have not clinched a playoff berth. But the second-place Steelers have clinched a playoff berth.

I'm not sure if the tie is the reason... we're still in week 16 and the Bengals just haven't played yet.

You're probably right. I didn't break down the numbers, it just looked weird to me seeing a second-place team in while a first-place team isn't in yet.

Seeing that tie at the end always makes everything "look" strange. But stuff like this breakdown can always happen when the week isn't done yet. It's like when they show playoff chances in the middle of 4pm games.

I haven't broken everything down but I'm pretty sure the Steelers will be in 1st place if the Bengals lose tonight... and either way, they'll be playing for 1st place next week (just added information, not really related to our anomaly here).

If the Bengals had lost to the Panthers, they'd be 9-5, a half-game behind the Steelers right now with tonight's game pending.

If they had beaten the Panthers, they'd be 10-4. I don't know if that would have put them in or not since the Ravens and Chargers could still catch them at 10-6 and I haven't paid attention to the tiebreakers.

Yeah it was weird seeing the Bengals being in first with one less win. It really is about winning percentage, not wins & losses (& ties).

I always equate a tie as half a win (or half a loss, depending on your mood).

Tonight doesn't really matter for their divisional standing, but they can clinch a playoff spot with a win. Or a tie!

                    Anyone ever had two ties?

They should double it to prevent further frivolous appeals. He obviously hasn't gotten the message.

There's a couple spots for good ones, a couple spots for bad ones, and everyone else.

Kind of like coaches. They only assemble the team. Just like coaches only call plays.

I think it's more about can they spot a diamond in the rough? How adept are they at paying for future performance against paying for past accomplishments? Do they have the nuts to make a big splash, either by releasing a player or signing one?

I'm a Redskin fan so I rate them on the Vinny Cerrato scale. So every GM in the league is a 10. Sad but true...

I really hurts living in Maryland and watching the Ravens front office operate.
