That's irrelevant. My point is, it make no sense to tie one player's value to his teammates, while not applying that logic to other player's at the same position.

If Wilson and Luck were both UFAs right now, who would get more suitors and the bigger offer sheet?

        Sorry, not irrelevant to me.

Your statement was that Driver, Jennings, Cobb and Nelson are all great receivers and had a great bearing of Rodgers being a great QB.

I'm saying I disagree and stating Rodgers has had a greater bearing on those WR's being great WR's.

They'd get about the same. Luck would sign first and then someone would slightly overpay and give Russell a similar or slightly less due to completion for him.

As with all things it depends on leverage, just as it does now for Wilson and the Seahawks.

Ok so other QBs have better receivers than Wilson has.

I don't understand where you're going with this. Is Luck supposed to be winning or advancing to SB's every year because he has or had Hilton and Wayne?

I guess a better question is, which one would likely be more productive on a new team.

              Same goes for Rodgers too.

Wilson would be leaving probably the best defense and running game in the league.

Luck isn't leaving the best supporting cast.

Rodgers would be leaving some good WRs, whom he helped develop, a good running game and a good but not elite defense.

All I know is I have no interest in seeing this team without Russell at QB. Can they be a playoff team? Sure. But I'd confidently bet they would never even sniff a Super Bowl with any "average" QB.

I don't think Russell is the best QB but definitely think he's very, very good and top 10 with a chance to be one of the best in the league if he improves on a couple weak areas. Trying to compare him to Trent Dilfer even in a joking fashion like I saw in here feels pretty ignorant to me.

Yall sleeping on Russell but I did see an interesting stat somewhere the the he is 0-7 or something like that when his team gives up 25 or more points. Cant remember where I seen it.

Clearly your being sensitive, as it was just a joke with no truth to it.

Every one who's commented on Russell has pretty much agreed with you, that he's a good QB.

Word is, the Hawks offered Wilson a contract that will pay him $21 million per year.

Mark Rodgers is apparently gassing him up to take more, tho.

Which is the entire reason of this conversation, but I don't think any Hawks fans have commented on that. He seems to seriously be trying to be the highest QB in the NFL. If he doesn't back down from that I would be behind seeing the Hawks without him. He hasn't earned that, and what that would mean for the team as the make up would have to change, requiring him to do more than he's done to this point.

He will get huge money as the cap and contracts naturally inflate... That's a pretty huge number though and if his camp has said no to that... Wow.
