Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
I am so happy to know that the Bucs are not going to take a RB with a top 5 pick again.
I have been on the "DO NOT WANT RICHARDSON" bandwagon since day one and I just breathed a sigh of relief.
I really hope he works out for the Browns (he is, at the very least the big name player that they need) but I am so, so soooooo happy that the Bucs aren't going to take him.
Bucs need to either draft Claiborne or trade down with Jacksonville and take Kuechly.Comment

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
I buy that, if this happens I bet Minny wouldn't be super pissed about getting all those extra picks and reaching 5-10 picks for the 2nd best cornerCheck out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
If you want Blackmon and you're near the top of the draft, you're better off just trading down for guys like Floyd, Randle, etc. imoSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
Most definitely. Cleveland desperately needed a RB of that caliber and had the picks to give. Minnesota still gets their guy and adds three extra picks. Smart move by both.
With that said, it looks like I'll be using Cleveland in Madden again this year.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
I'm actually expecting them to trade down again for someone looking to take Tannehill.--

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
@AdamSchefter is the one and only Adam Schefter (he's verified so that pretty much locks it up lol.) So idk what you all mean by "fake Adam Schefter"
This trade hasn't happened yet, and Schefter is reporting what he's hearing. The exact tweet said there was a push for the trade by Jacksonville
One trade has enabled Jacksonville to now try to trade up for OSU WR Justin Blackmon. Jags pushing for deal.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
I think Minny just wants Claiborne or Kalil and doesn't care which they end up with. They're willing to swap with Tampa but not any further than #5.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Thread.
Before this gets underway, I want to post my "Mock Draft" real quick. There are some changes that I don't have time to make changes I wanted to.
1 Colts
Andrew Luck, QB Stanford (Kiper and McShay: Luck)
There's not much you can say about this pick. The Colts lost Peyton Manning and they're in position to draft a quarterback whom is being compared to him and is Mel Kiper's 'Highest Rated Quarterback' since John Elway.
2 Redskins (from Rams)
Robert Griffin III, QB Baylor (Kiper and McShay: Griffin III)
Someone who was underrated coming into the season, very few cared to know anything about him even though he was having himself a very solid career at Baylor. He turned himself into an Elite Prospect for the upcoming draft with his big arm, excellent accuracy and ability to keep plays alive with his legs, something he may have to do while the Redskins get a few more pieces on that offensive line.
3 Vikings
Matt Kalil, OT USC (Kiper and McShay: Kalil)
One thing you can't have with a young quarterback that Detroit has learned, you can't have him getting hit a lot. Minnesota has two young quarterbacks that they need to keep upright and that problem can be solved with Kalil protecting the blindside.
4 Browns
Trent Richardson, RB Alabama (Kiper and McShay: Richardson)
Richardson is everything you want in a back with the only minus being his height but he makes up for that with his strength. He was projected to be a better draft prospect as a back-up to then starter Mark Ingram and has proved that with the way he's played. One of the biggest holes for the Browns is running back and you don't pass up on someone like Richardson, whom should prove an instant upgrade since losing Hillis.
5 Buccaneers
Morris Claiborne, CB LSU (Kiper and McShay: Claiborne)
Wonderlic, Schmunderlic. Morris Claiborne proved that he could played cornerback AND safety in one of the most complicated defenses in college football. He's got the football IQ, speed and athleticism, as well as some of the softest hands you'll see in a cornerback. Him falling outside of the 'Top 5' would be a disgrace to him and a huge steal for anyone that would grab him.
6 Rams (from Redskins)
Justin Blackmon, WR Oklahoma State (Kiper and McShay: Blackmon)
One thing that the Rams have lacked over the past few years, a playmaker at the wide receiver position. While Blackmon doesn't greatest speed, neither did Jerry Rice. He's a very physical receiver who can make big plays in the open field and will finally give Bradford a real receiving threat.
7 Jaguars
Melvin Ingram, DE South Carolina (Kiper and McShay: Ingram)
8 Dolphins
Ryan Tannehill, QB Texas A&M (Kiper and McShay: Tannehill)
9 Panthers
Fletcher Cox, DT Mississippi State (Kiper: Dontai Poe, DT Memphis, McShay: Cox)
10 Bills
Riley Reiff, OT Iowa (Kiper and McShay: Reiff)
11 Chiefs
Luke Kuechly, ILB Boston College (Kiper and McShay: Kuechly)
12 Seahawks
Quinton Coples, DE North Carolina (Kiper and McShay: Coples)
13 Cardinals
Michael Floyd, WR Notre Dame (Kiper and McShay: Floyd)
14 Cowboys
Stephon Gilmore, CB South Carolina (Kiper: Mark Barron, S Alabama, McShay: Dontari Poe, DT Memphis)
15 Eagles
Mark Barron, S Alabama (Kiper: Fletcher Cox, DT Mississippi St., McShay: Barron)
16 Jets
Cordy Glenn, OT Georgia (Kiper: Courtney Upshaw, OLB Alabama, McShay: Chandler Jones, DE Syracuse)
17 Bengals (from Raiders)
David DeCastro, OG Stanford (Kiper and McShay: DeCastro)
18 Charger
Jonathan Martin, OT Stanford (Kiper: Chandler Jones, OLB Syracuse, McShay: Cordy Glenn, OT/G Georgia)
19 Bears
Chandler Jones, DE Syracuse (Kiper: Whitney Mercilus, DE Illinois, McShay: Stephon Gilmore, CB South Carolina)
20 Titans
Dre Kirkpatrick, CB Alabama (Kiper and McShay: Kirkpatrick)
21 Bengals
Janoris Jenkins, CB North Alabama (Kiper: Stephon Gilmore, CB South Carolina, McShay: Kendall Wright, WR Baylor)
22 Browns (from Falcons)
Kendall Wright, WR Baylor (Kiper: Cordy Glenn, G Georgia, McShay: Jonathan Martin, OT Stanford))
23 Lions

26 Texans
Stephen Hill, WR Georgia Tech (Kiper: Kendall Wright, WR Baylor, McShay: Hill)
27 Patriots (from Saints)
