I doubt Ryan wins it but him beating Manning head to head an only having 1 loss should help his case. -
Re: MVP Discussion Thread
Well Adrian Peterson just keeps on making a bigger and bigger claim for the MVP in my opinion.
A huge game against a division rival, a much needed win to keep the playoff chances alive.
Gosh damn is he something special.7 National Championships
43 Conference Championships
152 All-Americans
5 Heisman Trophy Winners

I think you could make a case for Aaron Rodgers considering all the injuries the team has had, his complete lack of a supporting running game, and the fact that the team is still 8-4 and in the driver's seat in the NFC North. He's single-handedly held this team together.

Re: MVP Discussion Thread
Weren't the Broncos 8-8 last year? Why do people keep bringing that up as if they were an amazing team? They won games in the most unexplainable ways last year and shouldn't have even been in the Playoffs anyway with that record. The impact Peyton has had on the Broncos this year is clear as day. They are far and away a better team.
That said I'm rooting for AP to win it. Actually I always root for non QB's to win these type of awards. Unless they're on my team.Indianapolis Colts

If Peterson breaks Dickerson's record, coming 1 year after ACL surgery, I'd be very hard pressed to NOT give the MVP to him.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: MVP Discussion Thread
The interesting thing is Peyton has the whole comeback story behind him as well. It might be even more compelling for him considering a lot of people thought he wouldn't play again and several doctors said he shouldn't play again. He's also had his best statistical year since probably the 49 TD year. At the age of 36 and with a brand new team.
I don't know. I'm obviously a little biased. Either way I'm just happy both AP and Peyton came back the way they did this year. It's been fun to watch.Indianapolis Colts

Re: MVP Discussion Thread
Yes. The award is decided by a panel of 50 voters if multiple players end up tied for first they share the award. The last time this happened was after the 2005 season when Steve Smith of the Panthers and Tedy Bruschi of the Patriots tied for first.Comment

Re: MVP Discussion Thread
If there can be Co-MVPs then I'm sure the Comeback Player of the Year can be shared as well, and at this point I see no reason why it shouldn't be given to both Peyton and Adrian.
As for the MVP, it's Peyton's IMO. The only way that changes is if the Broncos completely fall off these final few games (unlikely) or if Adrian breaks the rushing record.
Both Peyton and Adrian's stories are incredible, but you have to factor in that Peyton went to a completely different team after being with one organization for the past 10+ years, and being the QB had to master a new playbook, build a connection with a new offensive line and a new set of receivers, and adapt to a new home, which also happens to be an outdoor stadium in a cold-weather city as opposed to the dome he was playing in his entire career.
I don't mean to downplay what AP has done coming off his injury but I think you have to give the edge to Peyton for MVP right now.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: MVP Discussion Thread
What AP has done is mind-boggling, A running back that tore up his knee not even a year ago and isn't suppose to be this good right now is now on pace to break the 2000 yard barrier and carrying a terrible Minnesota offense with a god awful Quarterback and with no weapons on the outside. This team has no business having a winning record and he's not going to win it even if they do finish with a winning record and that's a damn tragedy to me like dude said above me, you might as well rename it MVQB Award because unless a running back runs for 2000 and his team goes 15-1 basically he's not going to win itComment
