I'd honestly give the edge to Peterson, but I would be fine if either guy won it. Manning has been awesome for the Broncos, but they also made the playoffs last year with Tebow as their QB (albeit they weren't the #1 seed).

Still with Peterson. I thought he should win it regardless of playoffs/record.

Manning, converting 50 other players over to your offense paid bigger dividends than anyone could have imagined, 11 games scoring 30+, 1st seed, etc.

Vikings had a big turnaround, but were still 4-1 when AP had less than 100 yards rushing. Definitely belongs in the conversation and wouldn't be completely surprised if he won it, but I think Manning gets MVP.

Minnesota making the playoffs will help Peterson's cause. It will be a toss up. Please stop comparing Denver's team this year to last year's team. They are apples and oranges with Manning vs Tebow. Broncos don't even sniff the playoffs this year if Tebow was still at the healm .

IMO if people want to keep bringing up that Peyton learned a new system then people should be able to bring up last year as well. That to me is basically saying the Adrian should be hurt in the MVP race because he stayed on the same team. Its beyond stupid.

Where's everybody sitting on this now?
It's still MVPeterson for me. I take nothing away from Manning, but I just like Peterson's season more.

Still Peyton Manning for me. Peterson is no doubt the Offensive Player of the Year, though.

How is it beyond stupid? No one is saying he learned a new system, he basically taught a new system to the entire offense.

Big difference between learned and taught.

I'll return from my self-imposed exile to say this.

Peyton Manning hadn't taken a snap in an NFL game in roughly 2 years, changed teams and divisions, and basically picked up from where he left off in Indianapolis.

                      Ridiculous. He's my MVP.

IMO it should focus on play and play only. Regardless if its learned or Taught, its basically punishing those player(s) (Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Adrian Peterson, etc) for staying on the same team.

Umm it is focusing on play. Did you catch the Broncos offense last year with Tebow? Not only has Manning brought in a new offense but has run it superbly.

The award your thinking of is offensive player of the year.

Both have been superb, and there is a good argument for both but to throw out the argument of what he's meant to this team just because no one else is in a similar scenario is absurd.

I know you want your man to win and I get it but you can't discount what he has done.

Yes I seen what the Broncos did with Tebow, the made the playoffs and beat the Steelers with him. I don't see how it was this much of a surprise that if Peyton could play even remotely close to what he usually does that the Broncos were going to be deadly this year.

I am not taking anything away from Manning, IMO there should be a Co-MVP and CO-Comeback POTY this year but IMO where a player played the year before should not make a difference. Just the way I feel about it.

OPOTY should be Brady or Rodgers, even Calvin Johnson if theres a Co-MVP.
