My roommate says if the Jets take Nassib at #9, he will immediately drive to a Dick's Sporting Goods and buy a Seahawks Marshawn Lynch jersey and never root for the Jets again. I want this to happen so bad just to see the blow up. It would be worse than that time that the Milwaukee Bucks took John Henson and I erupted in anger (which I now regret, because he's somehow developed into a very nice young player).

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Am I the only one who has an incredible lack of interest in this year's draft?
I don't think I've ever given less of a ****. Just doesn't feel like draft time at all. And I agree with the fact that since moving to Thursday, it's been a rating success but a fan failure. Hate this spread out crap.Comment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
So not sure if it has been discussed in here since I'm jumping into the fray late but the NFL Network and ESPN aren't going to be showing the draftees on camera before they're announced and they won't have their analysts tweeting them out early either, I like that a lot, I miss the old days of actually being surprised by picks.
Other people will still be tweeting out the picks but no one from either network televising it is.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
I have mixed feelings on the three-day primetime draft format.
On one hand, for me the draft is much easier to digest now, since the time commitment required is spread out across multiple time blocks. I don't have to devote the entirety of two consecutive days ostensibly to watching a guy in a suit call out player names.
On the other hand, I do miss just vegging out for an entire weekend with nothing but myself, a friend, some food, and ESPN, lol.
I do think this draft is hurting compared to last few due to lack of star power at glamor positions. It's possible that the first three players chosen are offensive linemen (Joeckel, Fisher, Johnson). Comparatively on the "star power" front: last year had Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III; 2011 had Cam Newton and a logjam of not-superior-yet-intriguing QB prospects; and 2010 had Sam Bradford and Ndamukong Suh, as well as controversial top prospects Dez Bryant and Tim Tebow. This year's draft doesn't really have any such elite or interesting player at any most readily visible position.Comment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Yeah the only part that sucks is other people like La Canfora are going to tweet them out still, I plan to follow the draft thread here as well since I find it more fun to see how everyone reacts to the picks but I'm hoping that those who follow La Canfora and the others who will be tweeting will spoiler tag picks when they find out prior to announcement.Favorite Teams:

I had a horrifying thought of the Bucs drafting Teo since there's been talk of them possibly trading back into the first round.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
I have the 49ers jumping up some spots to grab the top 1 or 2 corner in the draft.
They have so many picks and not that many roster spots to fill. It'd be crazy for the 49ers to not make multiple tradesCharger Fan Born and Raised!
