Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Am I the only one who has an incredible lack of interest in this year's draft?
I don't think I've ever given less of a ****. Just doesn't feel like draft time at all. And I agree with the fact that since moving to Thursday, it's been a rating success but a fan failure. Hate this spread out crap.Last edited by dsallupinyaarea; 04-25-2013, 11:23 AM.NFL - Vikings

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Part of me wants my sorry Raiders to just keep their number 3 pick and grab Sharrif and be done with it. He's probably the best defensive player in the entire draft. However we don't have a 2nd round pick this year and many holes to fill including DT. They say over at nfl.com that the Raiders phone is blowing up with interest in people moving up to take the number 3 pick. If that was the case, I think the first 3 picks in this draft would be OL, 1 2 and 3. Depending on if my Raiders traded down, we might be able to get our number 2 pick back and still get Star L. if Sharrif isn't still sitting there. After round 1 though, I have no idea where we would go, even if we moved down and got a 2nd rounder out of it.
So many holes... so many holes.__________________________________________________ ____

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
My (generalized) predictions for the Cowboys' draft, assuming no trades:
Round 1 - a player who will be good-not-great. He will be overrated by virtue of playing for the Cowboys. Jerruh will sign him to an overvalued contract extension at some point.
Round 2 - a player with obvious talent that jumps off the page, perhaps should have been a first-round selection. However, he will either have or develop an injury problem and never be able to stay on the field.
Round 3 - a mediocre player who will struggle to make the roster, but will manage to stick around.
Round 4 - a player who will not see the end of his rookie contract in Dallas.
Round 5 - a slight surprise, a player who turns out to be a good reserve and average starter. We probably hang onto him too long and Cowboys' fans grow sick of him over time.
Round 6 - a player who won't make the roster.
Round 7 - a gem of a player who will be forced into starting at some point out of circumstance. Not an elite player.Comment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Hopefully, Kawann Short can sneak into the back end of the first round because he's arguably the best pass rushing DT in the draft as well as Josh Johnson getting draft in the 5th round or so. The thing I like about this year's draft is the unknown of what's going to happen after the first pick is it feels pretty certain it's Joeckel/Fisher for the first pick but what ever the Jags do could really effect the draft. Just don't watch ESPN, because spoiling picks is cool.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers
NBA: Indiana Pacers
MLB: Cleveland Indians
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers
NASCAR: Ryan Newman

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
I think the Texans may very well trade out of the 27th spot.
I hope for a WR, NT, LB, some OL depth, and a S to learn from Reed.Comment
