Of course they knew. A lot of teams knew. That's why he fell to the mid fourth round in the 2010 draft. We see it now too. Some guys that have 1st and 2nd round talent falling like flies to the fourth round or later. Well Hernandez just revealed why nobody wanted to take a chance on him until mid round 4 of the 2010 draft. The Ravens took Ed Dickson in round 3 who was nowhere near the college player Hernandez was and the Saints took a project player that had only played 1 year of college football in Jimmy Graham.

Re: Aaron Hernandez Saga
I know that Matt Light and him were teammates, so I don't need to be educated on that.
What I needed educated on was Todd Light, whose last name is spelled Lyght.. and been retired since 2002.--

Re: Aaron Hernandez Saga
If you miss your court date as a NFL player, you are either too stupid and will lose all your money anyways or you just don't care. NFL players have agents and lawyers that would either show up for them or handle the case. There should be no excuses other than not getting the summons to show up.Comment

While I don't agree with one offense you are out but I do think the league needs to do something. 28 arrests since February is a problem in any company. Some type of policy that dictates you screw up bad enough and you are out might curb some of this behavior. Better yet every arrest or issue start forcing much stronger financial penalties. No one wants to see you pay cut drastically so maybe instead of immediately cutting them you impose very strong salary penalties. At some point you have to try and fix the image the NFL is receiving lately with the amounts getting in trouble.
It costed the patriots millions and I think you could see contracts with preventive measures just for situations like this.

Idk if I'd say this is a problem by the numbers. If this string doesn't lead into training camp then the only car we're still talking about is this one. No one is even talking about the Browns rookie.
The offenses are a little scary to me. Hernandez, the Browns rookie, the cowboy player killing his teammate, Stallworth a couple years ago. Seems like more lives are being lost at the hands of the NFL than in the past.

Re: Aaron Hernandez Saga
^^^ What about the guy on the Chiefs last year.
As for Henandez. I don't know if he actually pulled the trigger, But there seems to be enough evidence to point that he had something to do with it. Murder 1 was an ambitious charge. It may have been premeditated but that might be hard to prove, just like George Zimmerman, They have that guy dead to rights on Manslaugher, But the overly ambitious DA is gonna have him walk scott free because of going after Murder 1 which you could not possibly prove in that case. Murder 2 or Accessory to murder should have probably been the charges against Hernandez who cares if it isn't life. It is still a long *** sentance, If dude doesn't get offed in prison, he would be damn near a senior citizen by the time he was released.Comment

Re: Aaron Hernandez Saga
I'm the one on the high horse?
You are the one now admitting you know who he meant yet you still made a big deal out of him typing Lyght instead of Light...
And then telling others you "don't need to be educated" when it was corrected.
All pretty unnecessary if you knew what he meant all along.
It's not that big of a deal dude.Last edited by kehlis; 06-30-2013, 10:29 AM.Comment

Re: Aaron Hernandez Saga
I knew who he meant after someone said Matt instead of Todd, and than people act like it was that big of a deal that I didn't catch that it was a typo.
But it's fine, no big deal.
Moving on.--

I would support banning players who were convicted of violent crimes. I would support banning players with multiple drug/gun arrests.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
