So they get back a mid rounder in '15.

But now they have Woods and Watkins. And they just paid Stevie Johnson a roster bonus. I guess Johnson was a problem in the locker room or something because they really want to get rid of him.

As if giving up a 1st next year wasn't bad enough seeing as they're not considered a playoff team.

    Maybe someone can explain.

@Jason_OTC: I believe Johnsons dead money for the #Bills is $10.225 million leaving the Bils with an NFL high $22.8M dead
They just trade S.Johnson to the 49ers for a 4th round

No not at all. Just poking fun.

As the day has passed, Im really hoping Kouijinilo falls to us at 11. Guy is a giant and we can work on his kinks.

Run first team paying a ton of money to 3 WRs... and a TE. Interesting.

As a Jag fan I started drinking immediately following the Bortles pick. Curse words were screamed, hats were thrown. Lol

After having a day for it to soak in I'm ready support Bortles. Not that I think he's a bad Qb, I think he's great. I just don't think he's that much better than Qbs we could've gotten later. I really wanted Mack or Watkins. Now I'm just hoping Jax front office gets him some weapons.

Trade up? I don't think they need to to get him. I'd prefer Murray though, Murray has slightly better physical skills.
            EDIT:
Also, Johnny Manziel's scouting report from NE was leaked on twitter. Here's the tweet...

I think they're trying to be more of a pass first, spread team. Kap fits that mold though it hasn't quite worked out that way when the Niners have gone pass happy at times with him under center.

Well there's one reason why it was false. I mean how can you do a family check and miss Hernandez's issues?

He's a lot better from a marketing stand point, and I'm pretty sure someone in the FO has already said they don't want him to play AT ALL this year. They are far from one player away... the team is going to be bad no matter who they pick there, and for the rest of the draft really. I could understand wanting them to trade out of the spot but maybe they tried and couldn't get any offers worth taking. So many good players available at that point, I could see that being an issue. Bortles wasn't going to be there for them in the 2nd round, so if that's the guy they wanted for many reasons, might as well take him.

I don't necessarily believe Kap is that guy personally, but this isn't the thread for that discussion. Either way, I'm just wondering about the money they're tying up in these guys. It's not just the talent at WR, all 3 of them have a hefty price tag.

Trying to get Kap as many playmakers as possible this season to dethrone Seattle.

Crabtree is a FA after the season, and I won't be surprised if he walks. Johnson gives them a bit of insurance if that happens. Boldin just re-signed for two years, so he's almost at the end either way.

I'm interested to see what Carolina does tonight. Obviously OL and DB are needs, and there are some tackles still out there that could start right away. I don't think Gettleman is the type to trade up, but it might not be a bad idea to fill a big need, as I don't think Moses/Kouandjio/Bitonio will be there at the end of the round.
