Literally everyone is saying Seattle needs a TE. Whoever gives out the college football awards consider him a receiver, since he didn't win the Mackey Award for best TE.Boston Red Sox

Idzik needs to take either ASJ, Amaro, Matthews or Adams. Stay away from Lee unless its least resort. If they go defense back to back rounds, gonna pukeYou Look Good, You Feel Good. You Feel Good, You Play Good. You Play Good, They Pay Good. - Deion Sanders

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I like Derek Carr, don't get me wrong, but that pick makes very little sense. It flies in the face of what the team has done this offseason. Mackenzie is running this team for success now or he's going to lose his job. Drafting a QB very rarely gives you immediate success.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers

MLB: Cleveland Indians

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
My Raiders are actually looking good in this draft. Sure we could have grabbed a speedy WR but I like the Carr pick here. While he probably will not take Schaubs job right away, this Carr is in a better place than his brother. We don't need him to play right away. Granted he wont be sitting 4 years like Aaron Rodgers either but I think we got good value in grabbing Carr. If he pans out Oakland can spend the next 2 drafts on filling holes and drafting the heir apparents to the likes of Tuck, Woodley, MJD, etc because those dudes will be gone in 3 years.
Wait a minute.. is this the first draft we've had without Al Davis? lol.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
Do not understand the Derek Carr pick at all. Don't get me wrong I think he's a solid player, but the Raiders are built to win now not later. He's not a game changing QB. If you wanted to secure a young QB that has some promise in the future why not go after Jimmy G. or Savage?

They traded down with Detroit.
I like the pick for the Bucs, they needed TE help and I remember early in the football season, ASJ was looked to go to Tampa in the first round.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers
