Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
One player was at his graduation ceremony when he found out he got drafted.
Staten was selected by the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks with the 32nd pick in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. He was sitting in Murphy Center during his graduation ceremony when Seahawks general manager John Schneider called.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I'm fairly happy with the Buccaneers draft, but I wish we could have went after my dude Dee Ford. It looks like they're set on giving Glennon his time.
He had his moments last year. I'm expecting a lot of improvement, which is what really scares me. Any time I'm actually positive about my team **** goes South.Comment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
All I know is that it's going to be entertaining as hell to watch his career play out.
With regards to Clowney...I just don't see how not being in optimal shape is ever validated for a player of his caliber. If anything being incredibly in shape does nothing but help your durability. Also, as an athlete, I can't fathom not going 100% on such a large stage in the SEC. My pride, my legacy, my desire to impose my will and win would overrule all.
To me that's a character flaw with regards to a top flight athlete. The best want to be the best all the time. At least that's how I view things. I want that killer instinct.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I don't understand the Lewan pick. Titans weren't hurting for a tackle, or OL in general at all. Roos is still a pretty solid LT and they just signed Oher to play RT. Had a decent backup swing tackle behind those 2.
I know Roos is in the last yr of a contract, but the timing of a 1st round pick @ tackle was odd at least. Only thing I think they did was BPA, as I think Ebron, Gilbert or Barr would've been the pick had they gotten that far.
But in today's NFL, most 1st rounders are starters out the gate, and now we have 3 serviceable to above average starters. Lewan's not replacing Warmack or Levitre @ guard. Just an odd pick and frustrating in that it almost screams of this year being a redshirt year for Wisenhunt.
Knew it from the get go. Most 2-14 coaches get canned. Kenny kept his job.
Also, calling Oher "serviceable" was WAY off.EXPERIENCE MAYHEM FOOTBALLComment

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
One reason why I think he'll be an average/middle of the pack QB at the very least: Norv Turner.
When it comes to developing young QBs, with the exception of Brandon Weeden, his track record is pretty remarkable. Also helps that he has the playmakers/talent in place on Offense to help him out as well.
Not bad.#RespectTheCultureComment
