Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
Colts backup LB Josh Mcnary charged w/ Rape, confinement (felony) and battery.

An undrafted FA in 2013, good chance of being a career-ender if true. Hasn't been arrested but the warrant has been signed.Comment

If true the details of this are just sickening. According to the report he seemed so apathetic when the police arrived.Moderator

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
Over a parking space though:
WASHINGTON (WJLA/AP) - Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson was arrested for assault in D.C. Tuesday night, ABC 7 News has learned.
Sources confirm Jackson was arrested and issued a citation for allegedly punching a pizza delivery in the face and in the back of the head over a parking spot.
The 31-year-old pizza delivery employee told police he said to Jackson that he was going to use the space momentarily, but Jackson allegedly got upset and told the driver to get the "expletive" out of his parking space before punching the driver in his face and on the back of his head.
Jackson is the linebacker whose interception of New England Patriot's Tom Brady pass allegedly started DeflateGate.
A spokesperson for the Colts tells ABC 7 that the team is aware of Jackson's arrest, but has nothing further at this point.
Jackson played for the University of Maryland before being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2006 NFL draft. He played for the team through the 2013 season. He was signed by the Colts as a free agent in March 2014#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
Guess we'll add on to the list:
Cowboys RB Joseph Randle arrested again:
It didn’t take long for this NFL offseason to turn into an NFL offseason.
Our days without an arrest meter was barely stopped after the D’Qwell Jackson arrest, when Joseph Randle made sure it stayed on zero.
Via KAKE in Wichita, Kan., the Cowboys running back was arrested this morning after a domestic violence call at a hotel there.
Randle and the woman filing the complaint have a child together. When officers searched the room, they found marijuana, and Randle was arrested on drug charges.
Randle, of course, made headlines earlier this year for stealing underwear and cologne from a store outside Dallas.
It was just a moment ago when we made a joke about the dizzying pace of NFL offseason arrests.
So naturally, here’s another one.
Via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion was arrested last night in Starke, Fla. on a marijuana possession charge.
The 27-year-old Guion is going to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and there had been some talks about a long-term deal with the Packers.
We’ll see whether those negotiations are now up in smoke.#RespectTheCultureComment

It would be nice if we could have ONE, just one bloody NFL offseason without an arrest. Guess i'll have to wait for next offseason.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
It's unrealistic though. Think of how many people are employed by the NFL at a level where a first offense DUI or small amount of weed charge will make national news? Now take that number and apply it to any other field (where nobody cares so we don't here about this stuff). The chance that any field you pick not connected to law enforcement will have at least a handful of arrests... and I exclude law enforcement bc they have more at stake to lose with even the smallest infraction. And realistically, they're probably in there too but have better means of not getting caught.Comment

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
Yeah. But I liked the days when we didn't know every little thing the players did. I really don't think more are getting in trouble, we're just hearing more. It is crazy how many JUST happened though. I guess a lot of guys were wrapped up in the playoffs and now that it's over the players are hitting the clubs and the cops are hitting the streets, lol.Comment
