I think even those who criticized him after the SB would tip their hat to him and recognize the toughness both mental and physical that he showed tonight. I didn't like that they got away from Kelvin Benjamin for a long stretch in the 2nd half but other than that it was a well played game.
If the Panthers won that game I was about to praise Cam to high heaven. Some of those plays he made, drive extenders, I mean, MVP level stuff.

    He's an absolute beast.

Solid game, feel bad for Gano. Cam seemed to get hit in the head a bit.

Gano has to make that. He has to.
The biggest play of the game was the terrible spot by ref on the Emmanuel Sanders catch. Losing that timeout screwed us over. And the total oblivion to all the helmet 2 helmet hits Cam took would make any good referee puke.

At Mile High that kick is a 40 yarder.

He had a practice kick earlier, cleared it with at least 10 yards to go, showing he could make that SAME kick.

            He missed the second time.

He has to make the kick. That's the point of having a kicker. To make kicks.

No one is crucifying him, at least on here, we're just pointing out he didn't do his job when the team needed it.

The importance of having a reliable kicker cannot be underestimated. As seen here, it's the difference between a win and a loss.

              Yeah, the kicker missed.

I'd think the bigger culprit of the loss goes to Carolina's OL...you can tell, even as a fan, Cam was going to pressured heavily and they still couldn't handle it. Remmers has no agility to handle speed rushers - they praised him the 1st half but he certainly set the record straight for his mediocrity in the 2nd.

Maybe it's Cam constantly stepping back versus stepping in the pocket but something has to be done as I think the rest of the league will capitalize on their OL.

It's a difficult thing to do, make a 50 yard FG with the game on the line and all the pressure on.

That said, it's what he gets paid to do. Graham is a good kicker. But he's gotta make that kick.

Gano can, and has, made more difficult clutch kicks. 50-yard field goals are never gimmes. It is what it is.

Well that's the last time I use Greg Brady as a reference. No wonder he no longer has a radio gig in Toronto LOL

The distance wasnt the issue on the kick. So your point about the 40 yarder is irrelevant. It is the delay of motion on the kick that made him hook which distance comes into play. Im pretty sure he wasnt practicing with bad snaps in preparation. But it is what it is. He missed it. They lost.

NFL sure talks a big game about player safety. If they're serious about it, these refs should be fined.

With three helmet to helmets with no ejections or penalties, they should be suspended a game.

Really nice win for the Broncos. Thought they played much better in the second half. The way Carolina burns through TOs at the LOS looked a bit like they were out of shape for the elevation of Denver. I can't wait to hear Dean Blandino explain why so many of the hits that Cam took to the head were not flagged. The game dragged on for me.
