Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
1. Buffalo generally doesn't use the WRs very much and they wanted to stay away from the Jags DBs.
2. The Bills were so keyed in on Fournette for most of the game that Bortles didn't really have time to throw to the outside and when he did it was pretty dicey.
The defenses plus some of the wind dictated how the passing games were going to be for both squads. Some of Taylor's throws were just inches too long or outright dropped by his receivers while Bortles couldn't throw an accurate ball especially in the 1st half. You can't just lay all the blame on "bad offensive play". You got to give credit to what was going on with the defenses.
Anyways, i've said my peace. I'm overjoyed that the Bills made the playoffs. That being said I hope the Steelers stomp a mudhole into the Jags.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
Meh, Chargers and their fans (if they have any left) should spent offseason wondering how did they manage to miss playoffs this year.
I am happy for Bills fans (including my best friend ) that they finally got into playoffs , but truthfully they had no business being there. Way to many holes in team.
You have better chances trading your 1st for Alex Smith(well you Jax,and some NFC teams) , then getting 4th overall. That would take multiple 1st rounders(3+), considering it's strong QB draft on top, plus i think Browns are out of trading down business.Comment

I know you don't want to keep litigating this game but there was a reason for that.

LOL well consider who this is from. I'm a Bills apologist though i'm sure by tomorrow the reality of the bad offensive play will dawn on me. I still think it wasn't nearly as bad as some make it out to be.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
Bortles is the worst thrower of the balll in the nfl i ever seen. 9 out of 10 times he cant even throw spiral. Is the college football smaller because he didnt look this bad at ucfKenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!
Captain Tenneal: Get it on!Comment

Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
I don't know if it's smaller, but it is different. I thought the ball came out well in terms of the spin yesterday, it just wasn't accurate. I mentioned yesterday at one point Bortles threw 5 straight passes at or behind the LOS and he only completed 3 of them as he overthrew 2 wide open guys.Comment

Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
Blake Bortles has shown that he can be great. Im not a Jacksonville fan but he did put together this season one of the best 3 game stretches out of anyone throwing the ball.
His Sophomore year he had 35 td and 18 int with over 4k yards. The following year he had a down year and still had 23 td 16 int and almost 4k yards.
Hell this year he is 21 td 13 int with 3500 yards.
Look he looked awful yesterday, Im not saying he didnt but to say he is horrible or the worst QB ever is not correct especially with some of the QB's that have played this year and have nowhere as good past seasons. And the heart he showed in the bills game said a lot about the guy.
I think the outside weather with receiver injuries and play calling was hurting them more than Bortles himself. He will have to play much better than he did when he goes to Pittsburgh though.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
He's been among the absolute worst in completion percentage and yards per attempt since he came into the league. Yeah, he can make some plays with his feet, but he's an atrocious passer and has shown this his entire career so far.Comment

Re: 2017 AFC Wild Card Round
All those numbers are garbage time. Obviously not all, but a very large percentage. He’s a fantasy football QB.
He’s good for 2-3 absolutely boneheaded plays a game too. A team like PIT might capitalize on those over a team like BUF. We dropped an INT or two plus Fournette jumped on that one ball that was a pass behind Bortles.
In a 10-3 game, a turnover could’ve made the difference. I’m not mad about the loss though; we got to midfield nearly every drive, couldn’t ever break through. Jags defense is awesome. They bent and never broke.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

2017 AFC Wild Card Round
As a fantasy football player who’s had QB injuries in more than one season including losing DeShaun Watson this season and being forced to accept whatever is on the waiver wire (the Blake Bortles of the world), I can confidently say that Blake Bortles isn’t that either. He is as frustratingly inconsistent and more often times horrible as a fantasy QB as he is a real life QB.
