Everyone gonna **** on Parkey, but Mitch and the offense stunk for 3 quarters. It would have been worse if the Eagles didn't drop 3 relatively easy INTs. Do anything of note during that time and you have the game in control.

The thing is, that was all bad luck. I've seen kicks where it hits the uprights like it did there and banks in for a FG. It was just crummy luck that it hit the crossbar and doinked right out.

Would people be making edits on his page calling him the luckiest kicker on the planet if it had gone in? I think not.

Basically. They didn't even really look rattled by the playoff stage, just came out flat and didn't put anything together in the first half. The late surge and Parkey are obviously going to overshadow that though.

And man...hitting the posts as many times as Parkey did this year, from the distances he was doing it, is a skill all to itself. If only it was a skill that counted for anything.

Hitting the upright and having it still fall in would've been the perfect redemption story for his season.

You can say its luck he missed it, but that luck has been with him this year. Hit 4 posts in the game against Detroit.

How soon before everyone goes after Nagy for going for that 2 point conversion earlier instead of taking the extra point.

              Why would that matter?

Yep the Eagles would have kicked the extra point then and been up 1 still

                  2 quick points:

                  1) If I'm a Bears fan, I'm highly impressed by Trubisky's night. In his first playoff game, he looked like he belonged with huge throws. After a horrible rookie season, man has he looked good this season. I hope it continues into next season.

                  2) Whomever the WR coach is for the Bears, can they teach these guys how to run after the catch?

                  1 question:

Why was Al Michaels saying "...he hit the crossbar again!" I didn't catch the end of the game.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

So I saw the idea that the kick may have been tipped by Hester. Anybody with good eye sight able to confirm that?

It wouldn't have mattered in the end because the Eagles would have kicked the extra point to go up by 1 anyway instead of going for 2. It actually makes sense when you think about it if you assume the made XP (the worst team in the league still made over 85%). You make the two and they can only tie it with a TD and XP.

He also threw 3 balls right to Eagles players in the first half that they dropped. This could have been a much worse game if the Eagles secondary could catch anything.

He has shown that he can make throws, but he also locks in on his first read way too much instead of reading the defense pre-snap. I want to see that improve next season.

Everyone mixes up crossbar and upright.

But holy ****, I feel like my heart just got ripped out of my body. Brewers losing Game 7 of the NLDS and now this? At this rate, Toronto or Golden State will probably hit a game winner in Game 7 of the ECFinals or NBA Finals against the Bucks.
